Bragging rights is reason enough!Looking very good, shame really that I have absolutely no need for a vice that large.
Thanks . Jimmy is a good guy and paid full money, Unlike other YouTubers who contacted me wanting free onesThat's pretty cool you sold one (hopefully) to Jimmy Diresta, looks good in his shop!

What thread form are you using, how many tpi, and how many passes does it take?Screw n nut time
Why do I get the feeling that that screw outweighs all of my vises combined?Screw n nut time
Acme as I don’t believe square form would be very goodWhat thread form are you using, how many tpi, and how many passes does it take?
I hope so!Why do I get the feeling that that screw outweighs all of my vises combined?
Yes I make a standard or test gauge to make the nuts so I know they’re to spec then make the screws to fit the nutIs that a stub you use to test the fit of the nut?
Stupid question here...
What is this moster used for? Like what industry? It's an absolute monster!
Like I want it just to brag to my buddies about it while drinking beer but I don't think thats what its intended for..
nah I think that's a primary reason for it to exist! lolLike I want it just to brag to my buddies about it while drinking beer but I don't think thats what its intended for..
400lb?What does someone use a 400lb vise for? My bench is 3/4" plate and I think it would tip it over!
I'm in heavy equipment shops everyday, never seen other than normal sized vices.
I'm talking shops that a 50,000lb D6 is referred to as the mini dozer.
I've never had a reason to clamp a 3406B in a vise, but guess I could if I owned one of these.400lb?
It’s 550lb![]()
It would be handy to have an effectively Immovable Object around now and then. I've never had a way to hold a workpiece REALLY solidly.![]()
Dang, that there is a real vise stand!
Impressive!Just for interest, customer posing with arms of a planisher, Louvre press, hammer tool I’m making him
