For those that were wondering what happened to me its a complicated thing ,but I will try to make it as simple as possible.I got into a ******* match with someone on here and called them a "*****".Apparently that is not an acceptable term and I got a vacation. This REALLY irritated me and I decided to just be done with the forum and walk away. Fast forward 6 mo and I was the ungrateful recipient of a mild heart attack that required 3 stents and some time off to fix.Shortly later, my back/neck that I had been liveing with for 20 yrs just got to be too much and I elected to have done whatever could be done to help. This resulted in an 11 hour surgery to put 6 cages and rods in my neck and 3 in my lower back.I was doing pretty good until the wife took a 3 day trip south to do something for one of the kids.I was left with the care of the livestock which I was not cleared by the docs to do.About half way from the tack/feed room the mini donkey got impatient and head butted me square in the ***,dumping 2 grain buckets and me on the dirt floor.I couldn't get up for about 15 min and as soon as I did I knew I was really messed up.Without going into all the details , it was determined that the cages in my back had been pused into a "S" shape and narrowed the spinal canal significantly worse than it was before the surgery. My head was snapped forward and the rods dislodged on my left side (of my neck) resulting in a pinch of the spinal cord .None of this was surgically reparable,so I still have the back pain I had previously plus i had screaming headaches that I never had before,24/7.I put up with that for a few months but was unable to concitrate on anything, untill I was introduced to Oxycodone. After much experimenting, the headaches went away! But I was hooked on a 12 pill a day habit that included the addition of fentinal when I couldn't get enough oxycodone.I picked up a blood bourne infection in my right arm that also went down my rt leg.The sepsis was bad enough (by the time I got to the er) that emergency surgery was done on my arm and hand to remove 1 artery that had rotted thru and killed quite a bit of the surrounding flesh. My hand had turned black and the docs told everybody that they would give it 2 days to color up or it would be taken off.I had a 1/2" wide trench from the top of by thumb to my elbow where the dead meat was removed. The plastic surgery guy did a great job and now you can only see about 2" of where it was.The real problem though was that from the time I got to the er,I was not concious for 8 days, and they did not know about my opiate addiction until I had another heart attack, brought on by the cold turkey withdrawal. That got me open heart surgery where a bypass was installed to repair some of the rotting that they did not know about from the sepsis.I also had a tumor in my left ventricle which was removed and 3 more stents!I was still getting oxycodone for pain, but in controlled doses. They later told me that when they removed my heart to work on the tumor, it wouldn't restart w/o a lot of help, mostly because it was damaged by the fentanol abuse. From the hospital I was put in rehab. At this point I couldn't get in or out of bed myself and they used a forklift device to move me. I did not have normal control of my legs so all last summer I spent in rehab getting clean and learning how to (sort of )walk. They released me sept 10 and sent me home with a walker.I will stop here because dinner is ready.I will be back with"the rest of the story" as Paul Harvey said!
