Jake149... Your Frigidaire turned out great. Did you paint it yourself or send it out? I have one and never knew why half the bottom rack was glass. From your pic I see I'm missing a pull out drawer. I bought mine for the garage because it had the General Motors logo on the front... and it ended up in our kitchen. I guess I need to go find another one.

Saved this guy from heading to the scrap yard. A replaced main cord and I have a coke machine that keeps ice cold. Not bad for $10. Although at $0.10/beer, it is starting to add up.

Curious as to what you mean? Other than just insulating from outside temps, will the fridge help keep contents from freeezing?

sorry. dont think i replied to this..
my fridge is in an unheated, uninsulated garage. come winter, the whole thing seems to work in reverse.. the freezer warms up to aove freezing.. and the fridge gets even warmer..
but when the warm temps roll around, everyting is back to normal.

I'll pretty much only stock whats on sale, or what friends bring over. My favorites are Kokanee and Blue Moon.
Most came from friends after I converted it. Looked real empty with only a couple of 12 packs in there.
Now they just sorta keep it stocked up.
At least my friends aren't moochers.. I am !!

yea i sanded the whole thing down and got some rustoleum rattle cans. I wanted to use the rattle cans so if it gets scratched, i can just go back and paint it. Then just had a buddy do the pin striping.

I love it! But . . .how much beer do you go through? We need a photo of the inside - pony kegs?

i don't actually go through that much beer, but the kegs keep it nice and fresh for at least 4-6 months (depending on the style of beer).

i usually have either 1/6 barrels (5.16 gallons) or use my cornelius kegs (5 gallons -decommisioned soda kegs, used by homebrewers to keg their own beer). i guess i could get a pic of the inside, but it's just kegs and hoses (and a few bottles of seasonal beers that i can't get in kegs and some wine for the wife)

corvette get-together today here - 20+ vettes and around 40 guests. the beer should be flowing!

HA! no, not 62 gallons. in fact, there is only room for 3 - 1/2 barrel kegs (the 15.5 gallon kegs). most beer bars now want breweries to supply beer in either 1/6 bbl or 1/4 bbl (slim style) kegs. that way the kegs turn over way faster and the bars don't get stuck with gallons of unpopular beer that they can't sell. the tall skinny kegs also take up less floor space, allowing for more options.
