Hmm those looks like the grommets that go on the bottom of the grinder
Exactly!I think he's looking for the large button feet on the cast deluxe base

And it's not in your shop yet, why?
I have four grinders at the moment!
I looked up Belsaw and found that its for sharpening saw blades. It looks to be missing some attachments.
Does anyone have a grinder around 1/3 or 1/2hp grinder for sale. I can do a rehab on it, I just can't locate one. And I'm looking for a project
That stand is worth it already.
Do you know how many times I've looked at those 2 CL ads??!!Did you see what else they have for $100? Someone needs to get there.

What size jaws does that model have?I'd be all on the bench and vise for $100, after trying to negotiate it for half that...![]()
DOC: i have that Craftsman vise in my "little" cabinet or it might be on my shelf or i might actually have 2 of them. if you really need me to measure it because i can't remember if it's a 3 or 4 inch vise i'll do so in a bit, but most likely a 4 inch wide jaw. bonus with the copper jaws and bench and i've paid that much for that Craftsman vise because those old Rock Island made 1930's vises don't show up often anymore. i'm guessing it weighs about 60 pounds so maybe K will say when he takes if off the bench which is also a good one.
Drives - thanks. I searched some, but couldn't find specs for it.
i don't blame you for not running to buy both or either of them because you (we) all probably don't NEED them. I would just BECAUSE though if the funds were in my pocket.
You're right, I (we) don't need more vises/grinders, especially 'smalls'.
.....
Sadly I don't have the money or space for that workbench and vise. And I don't have a vehicle large enough to get it, so it's gonna stay there. Hopefully someone else here can snag it. I'll grab measurements on the jaws when I get the grinder.
Thanks K.
Hi guys,
Would anyone know a good place to get replacement eyeshields for this block grinder? Is there a link to searspartsdirect I should be looking at?
Larry - I haven't found OEM eye shields; but the following link covers a replacement non-OEM option.

This grinder itself works well, though I'm always planning on a restore-- however I'm nervous about replacing the bearings since I don't have any tools for doing it. I know about torqueman's legendary work in documenting his rebuilds, but are there some links I could see on best practices on bearing replacement?
Thanks for the support. Here are some links that should help. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and/or post here.

What's a fair price for this gem?
Sweet!
Drives - thanks. Asking price is 250...I was thinking 175-200 was fair so very close to your thoughts. I've got a set of metal shield I could swap on too...
That's a fair price, if the bearings, power cord are new, and the other electrics have been attended to.
Waiting for a reply from the guy now.
That's always the hard part for me.
....
Gonna give it a proper once over tomorrow and swap my 1/2HP over to the stand. The workbench and vise were gone before I got there.
I can relax, now that the temptations have been removed! Glad you snagged that Block & stand.
***S4cruiser has claimed the grinder***
Now, I really don't need this grinder. This makes number four, I was really just after the stand for my 1/2HP one. Soooooo............provided nothing is horrifically wrong with it, $10 plus shipping an it's yours.
You are the MAN!
I'd really REALLY like to pull the lamp for my other 1/3HP grinder, but I don't want to cannibalize this one and then pawn it off on someone.
1/2 HP(guessing...) on Craftsman stand in Blairsville, GA for $50... https://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/tls/5356950014.html
