Take your boss to work day
He (or she) is a Newfoundland? Do they typically have black on their tongues like a Chow Chow or is it crossed with one somewhere in its background? I LOVE the look of Newfoundlands but just wouldn’t have the room for one. Congrats on a great looking pooch.

Ranger is a Newfie.

The black spots (varying degrees ) is a breed trait.

At 135 lbs, he’s on the small end. Newfies can get up to well over 200.

My old girl, below (sorry really old pic) just loved being in the shop no matter what. Loud, sparks flying whatever nothing bothered her, she just wanted to be out there. If you took her out for a walk she would head to the shop and seem sad if you went down the driveway.

She crossed the rainbow bridge roughly two years ago. She was just a good dog.

Her little brother likes the shop as well, but he will supervise. I think before he made it to a higher life form at one time he was human and he fixed things. He will always be looking at you, and will look at you in an approving or disapproving way depending if you are about to be stupid.

Old age is not kind to him, arthritis is hitting him pretty hard, you can see the size of his knuckles, and yes I like fuzzy feet. The is an over weight mini border and like all borders too smart for his own good. He and I are in the same boat, both broken down old dudes.

Our newest just about 2 years old, is the most stubborn dog I have ever owned. She knows what to do but will look at you as if to say, yea, I don't want to do that now. Cookie in hand her **** will break the speed of sound on the way to the floor. She looks at you like you hung the moon.

Beautiful puppies. Congrats. PLEASE socialize them extremely well.

I hate it that people almost automatically assume large breed dogs are dangerous. My nephew has a Rottweiler mix that is ginormous, a female and she is the sweetest, most gentle dog. Yet I'm sure she could put a serious hurt on someone if they ever hurt the nephew, his wife or their two little boys.

I might as well throw our newest pack member into the thread. Got him 2 weeks ago, drove 3 and a half hours almost to Cincinnati to get him. Wife complained about the drive the whole trip but once she had him in her arms and for some strange reason....Not a freaking peep on the drive back.
Bernese mountain dog. We have another one that was a re-home and is probably 6 and if not the best dog we've ever had, he's tie for top three..... His name is Tanner our other is named Tucker, which rhymes with my go to curse word. At least the neighbors think I'm calling the dog when I let loose
