I haven't looked through the entire thread, but I haven't seen any Vizslas yet. Here are a couple of pictures of our Vizsla, Layla, who died last year. She loved to ride with us, whether in a car, truck, or standing in our EZ-Go Workhorse with the wind blowing through her face.

Here she is very carefully backing one of the cars from the garage and down the driveway. First, she looks to be sure the drive is clear. In the second pic, she is watching the mirror carefully to be sure she keeps the car on the pavement and off the lawn.

We miss her every day.

My Dog Sparkie. He was once a good sober dog. Now I think he may be drinking on the side.....sometimes he seems a little stiff.

My almost 13 year old black lab Anna. She has her spot and blanket in the garage. She's always there with me. :)

Here she is on her 12th birthday last March....

Did he just eat? He looks stuffed.

Also, you might want to check his temperature, he looks a little plushed.

Here are some pics of my awesome Golden Retriever, Lucy. I got her in 1999 from Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue (an awesome Golden rescue in OKC) and sadly I lost her in 2003. We lived in a farm house out on a country highway in Maryland at the time, and a so called "friend" was not watching her as he should when I was out of town on a work trip with the Navy for four days. She got hit by a car and I have not had another dog since. I'm hoping to change that when my shop is finished and I can fence in the back yard (about 1/2 acre).

She loved to go everywhere with me and would race me to my SUV and sit there waiting to go for a car ride whenever she could.

1.) Lucy the day I got her (6mo old)
2.) In her favorite ride...
3.) Trying to get back out of my canoe to get to my kids canoe...
4.) Having fun in some Ohio snow.

This is Ava my 3 yr old black lab mix (mutt). She's ferocious as all get out if she doesn't know ya, but you can't get her to stop licking ya if she does! She would like to think she's a lap dog but at 73 lbs I disagree lol.

The first one is duke my other loving mutt :) I rescued him from a nearby house where he was chained up and left to die, a visit to the vet and I learned that he had a weak heartbeat, round worm, whip worm, hook worm, and coxidia (sp?).
He was obviously beaten and is still a little shy around strangers but is really coming around. I got him Oct 13 and he weighed 15 lbs now a little more than 2 months later my mini horse is right at 42lbs!!

The 2nd other pic is what my wife did to the poor mutt's on halloween. In my defense I was hunting and had no idea lol.

Good looking crew.......

Here's tribute video for our girl that died from bone cancer....:(
Here's our current baby "Beethoven"

Very nice tribute, Regguy. Saint Bernards are great dogs; you are lucky to have snow where you live, so Betthoven can enjoy that. I wish we could have a Saint Bernard, too, but it will be too warm for them here.

I belong to a number of forums for each of my hobbies and it never ceases to amaze me that the dog thread appears on every one of them and it has more pages than any other thread. Our members have some beautiful animals!

Storm in "Her Garage"
attachment.php

As I sit in Afghanistan with an hour between tasks, I decided to cruise GJ, and ran across this old thread, as I paged though the posts, I came across this one…. And with heavy heart, I must report, Storm has passed.. last summer Just before this current deployment Storm was bitten by a rattler… She came screaming in to the house, and it was only minutes before I could figure out what happened…. My son and I loaded her into the mustang and made for the vet. Despite breaking many laws in route, we did not get her to our Vet in time..
Storms new buddy, was now alone, and without a pal.
She waited by the front door, I last took Stormy though, for days, but her pal, never came home.
attachment.php

Stormy, Sprocket and Lulu were never apart, and never far from me.
attachment.php

So with days before deployment, I happened upon a rescue site web page, and saw Miss Adelle. 3 months old.. (just the pup, the boy worked there..Dont need another boy, have two as it is.. )
attachment.php

We had no intentions of adopting a new best friend so soon.. But of course, once I saw her, we had to take the trip to meet this pup, caged and crated since being turned in to the shelter at 5 weeks, never had a collar nor leash on, had never felt grass beneath her paws.
.
.
.
The newest addition to Marquez Racing was bought home,,,
She decided her name was Nala, so we allowed the change..

A few months later,, she is right at home

And best friends with Miss Sprocket

Can't wait to get home, see my now 18 month old pup, and teach her to be a garage Dog, like Stormy was.

Wow. That poor thing must have been on death's doorstop. 15 lbs? I've spent enough on my cats to own a small percentage of my vet. It's heartwarming to see that other people consider their dogs/cats as members of their family. Keep the stories and pictures coming!

My garage dog on her day off...

Thanks, it feels better to know I am not alone ...my garage dogs spend most of their time 'chilling' . I have come to the sad realization that:

a) a boston terrier is not equipped for an unheated garage in a Quebec winter
b) an akita that wants to play in the snow and run away, then chill on the couch does not make a good garage dog

So, if we can't beat 'em....we'll join 'em

Here's my boy Tuffy:

I took him away from a dog fighting ring.
He's about the biggest softie you've ever met, and loves to hang out in the shop.

Here is my dog Rebel. He's a 2 year old Chocolate Lab that lives up to the name pretty good. He has a thing with sitting in these bag chairs. This one is for my daughter and is tiny. Somehow he manages to get up there.

Xena & Sundance

Those are all such great photos. Not a single uninteresting one!

Here are Xena, who turned nine the other day, and Sundance, just over a year old. The photo was taken in what used to be my old workshop, now a "studio" for our garage band. X and S are quite focuse here, as shown in the 2nd photo, in Sesame, a stray we picked up as a tiny kitten about two years ago. We have four rescue cats, and somehow they coexist with the Rottweillers, although occasionally there is a chase.
