^^^ that is one tough looking cat. Are you in OZ or AUS by any chance?
Been there, done that quite a few times. I'm truly sorry, friend. A new pet is the best way to cope. She can never be replaced, but in time with another pet's help, you'll remember mostly the good times. In Oz, she was a tough old girl but eventually even tough cats succumb to old age. The worst part about losing her is that every time I go into the shed and see her bed empty it upsets me and hence I don't want to be in the shed.
Good looking boy, here is what he will look like when he is older.

I hope you are ready to give your vacuum a work out, when he starts blowing his coat, its everywhere...lol

here is our newest family member, almost 3 months, hates the cold so he is a housr dog, loves the garage but only when its warm inside,
I see yours is Border Collie too. Ours is a Border Collie/Lab mix.
We have goats and sheep, but ours won't herd anything. Prefers playing with them instead. He does chase the chickens around the yard, though when he catches them he just sniffs them and lets them go.
I went over with my wife when she was baby sitting one night, they were still trying to get rid of him since they had 4 other dogs already. I thought about it, got halfway home, and turned around to get him. He's been the best dog ever since.Look at the head on that pup! Would hate to jump a fence and see that dog on the other end.
