Somehow yellow labs and racing just seem to go together.

Darby is track side for every race and is the best crew member I've ever had. I'm always greeted with a wag of his tail and a wet lick no matter how I do on track. If I could only get him a hot pass and teach him to take tire pressures in the pits I'd be set.

Check out the book the art of racing in the rain. Written by the dogs point of view and he lives with a race car driver. It's a quick read for a dog person.

Here is the newest addition to the family, this is my wife's birthday present. He is a 6 weeks old miniature dachshund named Turbo, goes with our other dog named Diesel. He is a mess already. When he is out in the yard, that nose is down and he is hunting...not sure for what...but he is looking.

Really? REALLY? He's looking for.......WEINERS!:D
Preferably miniature ones, after all he is a miniature weiner dog.

Loved the book and don't mind saying I had tears in my eyes reading it.

When I have a passenger seat in the car for coaching, Darby will ride around the paddock with me. I'm not sure what he'd do at speed on the track, even if strapped in.

Thanks for the recco, I handed off my copy and was happy to watch it get passed around.

Is that a long haired miniature dachshund? I got my wife a mini-dox for her birthday (see post 2145), he will be 8 weeks on Sunday. He is a blast to play with, has all kinds of energy...

Those two posts brought a smile to my face, I was just thinking of my Lil Buddy, past a year ago, lo and behold there is two Mini Dachshunds on GJ...

Thanks for that:)

I found the hammyest photoTorque. Never seen him sleep like this before or since. He's a beagle pushing 8 years old.

Richie - glad you had time to pick it up and read. One of few reads out there without pictures or pop ups that held my attention from cover to cover.

After an ear wash.

Before I got the phone out he was basically pushing his face and head around the grass with his back legs pushing and his **** straight up in the air...Like right at the 0:20 mark but way further and longer.

Our Payton does the same thing on the carpet after ear rinse. Then he comes over and rubs his head against my leg, just to make a point.

I posted this in another thread but, in case it was missed, here's some really nice action shots of Riley in action. Just scroll down to see the three ball catching sequences in order.

Most any vet or trainer will tell you the Border is the smartest dog. I'm just too old to deal with all that energy.
My American bulldogs are perfectly content to lay on the couch all day.Me too.
They'll rip some **** up if need be. In between the snoring and farting.

There's a fine line between a Corso and a Neopolitan..... Yours leans Neo.
Nice dog.

I understand the Neapolitan is the heavy version of a Roman war dog, and the Cane Corso is the light version. Good family dogs too, at least from my experience.
