We have a new addition to the garage.....and don't ask.....it's pretty obvious my gardener knows us.....and how 'weak' we are......

9 weeks old.... 5.5 lbs....Terrior / Shepard mix.....his name is fluffy....

It's funny as hell to watch him chase Noir, our 110 lb Lab

Much as I'm unready for a new dog, I was introduced to a 5 month old male black and silver mini schnauzer. It was love at first sight. He is sleeping on my chest as I type this. Poor little fellow has been sleeping on a steel rack for the last 3 months in a crate. I don't think he knows what to make of a real bed. I don't want him up all night, so pics this weekend.
This is my son's mini schnauzer, Mac. He left the bar at closing time 6 years ago and found him shivering in the parking lot in -18° weather, no collar, no tags, no chip. Good thing my son was there as i doubt the little guy would have survived very long. Never found his owner, so my son kept him. Great little dog! Gets along great with my two Assclowns. And he's smart as heck too. I hope you get as much entertainment from yours as we get from Mac!

Lets see your shop dog

My dogs like to come and hang out in the shop with me. I thought I'd share a couple pics.

Here's our Great Pyrenees, Sophie. She's also our LGD (livestock guardian dog). We have a small 15 acre family farm that she does a good job protecting.

This is just our Georgia watching a little TV. She's an Antebellum Bulldog and yup, she sits like this all the time.

And this is my old girl Darla (named after the Little Rascals Darla). She's the boss lady and runs the show here on the farm.

And heck....while I'm at it....this is my pet goat Bubba Fred.

Here are two of mine. Little one is Winnie a 11year old beagle. Big one is Stormy a 4 year old Lab/Shepard. Missing is the wife's Lab. The girls are laying by the pig in the shop staying warm while I consume a few beverages.

This is Liza, our 7 month old border terrier/mutt. My wife rescued her from a bad situation and she is settling in well. She will become my garage dog eventually, but first I need to be able to use the garage... time to start a build thread I guess.

Hopefully this will be my garage dog in training. Got him on Saturday. He is 7 months old & 65 lbs and was living with his 3 litter brothers up until then. He is still scared of everything and everyone but getting a little better each day. I never had a puppy, what a challenge, from gaining their trust to come to you to potty training. Soon as I brought him home we are having a cold snap, coldest its been all winter, freezing my azz off every time getting him outside, lol, he loves it, big dog weather.

Dogue De Bordeaux, a French Mastiff. Like the movie turner and hooch if you ever saw from the 90's. Breeder thinks he will be 120-130 lbs. One I just had to put down was bigger at 150-155 lbs.
They are typical big dogs, Very gentile.

Here was last guy, George, a couple weeks before he got sick:

Not even close, I travel for work so I needed a pet that could handle being left home alone for 3-4 days at a time!
You don't see the humor in it? Guess I should have left a :) in my post, sorry.

You posted pictures of your cat's in the "Let's See Your Garage Dog" thread so, my joke was they were either transitioning from a dog or to a dog.:):D:bounce:

Nothing personal just a joke is all.

No I got it lol :bounce:I just wanted to state that a cat (much less 2) was not my first pick of pets.

Wow, Gracie REALLY reminds me of my first dog, "Slipper" - Yeah, I know it was an odd name, I must have been 7 or 8.

He was regulation "mutt". Heinz 57 Varieties and a great companion in my childhood. Got him at a little local pet shop - those used to exist, nothing like Petsmart, etc today. We paid $7.50 for him. Must have been around 1963 or so. Memories, memories. Give Gracie a good hug for me. Maybe there IS such a thing as reincarnation and she's my boy come back to give someone else great memories!

My 3 YO rescue German mix, Gracie. Always at my side or guarding my toys.

Molly, the yellow Lab.
She my kid's that lives in the apartment, but she kinda adopted me, too.

She's really good at turning cutoff blocks of 2x4 into toothpicks.

Gabby has a sister now her name is Zeta, she is a Blue Heeler. They are a very intelligent breed. Had one 30 yrs ago named Nuisance she was very protective and pretty much a one person dog.

indeed they are, Schipperke's are to. The last Heeler I had was a great dog but you really had to watch her around people, she was a fantastic watch dog and one hell of a cow dog.

One of the things I like about this thread is that you guys will give the straight poop about different kinds of dogs rather than reading online. Online EVERY dog is perfect and in reality they all have their issues, health or personality related or both.

So Heelers want to nip people to herd them? How serious is their nip? A bite or a growl or what?

The heeler we had when i was a kid would grab the heel of your boot to get you in line.
