Here is mine as of today. Everyone be careful with your loved ones in the garage. Bobby is currently suffering 3 broken legs, missing toes, and multiple lacerations and abrasions from getting caught under a car I was lowering from a lift. Didn't make a sound, so didn't know he was there.

Just be careful, and double check all clear before backing out.

p.s. this is him on the bed 4 days after surgery. He jumped up whilst I was away at the shops.

I don't get many pics of the little terror, he doesn't stand still long, always searching in the shed. He races me back to the house and waits for me.
He has his side of the couch now...

I had some idiot calling at my dog in the car next to me at a super busy stoplight one day. Luckily I keep the dog's window at least 1/3 up all the time.

I also don't have my dogs name on his ID tags or anywhere. Also, when someone knows a dog's name the dog assumes they are a friend. Too many assholes out there who don't need to know your dog's name...Or you children's names for that matter. My ID tag only has 2 Phone/text numbers and my address in case someone finds him roaming the neighborhood. I have the same for visiting dogs I might watch.

Ranger looks like he wants everyone to be his friend. He also looks like a dog other people would like to have...Keep him safe.

Ranger was a name I'd considered too. So was Trooper. I went with Cooper.
JRC3, that is such a good idea, I never thought of it that way. Especially if a dog is super friendly to everyone,...you're such a good dad!!

I climbed out for one second to grab a wrench. Turn around to go back and find the pup camped out in my work space. Little smart *** knows when she does that I can’t ignore her.

He was a stray that ended up in our yard, unbeknownst to us. Until the Pit Bull mix across the road got out and attacked him. We heard the racket and ran outside. By that time the retired marine that jogs down our street had run the attacker off.
We took him to the vet, physical damage wasn't too bad, but the poor guy was traumatized. He was one skinny, pitiful looking dog.
We tried to find his owner with no luck.
My wife's Westie had recently passed away and it looked like another friend had been brought into our lives to help fill that void.
He has made a full physical and emotional recovery. Great temperament and friends with everyone.
Rusty appears to be predominantly a Smooth Coated Collie.

Pics of damage from the attack, Rusty traumatized, and him taking us to get us trained.

Looks like one lucky dog. Often that's all dogs have is luck, they have no control of who owns or what happens to them. Rusty had bad luck with whoever had him first and didn't care enough to keep him restrained. Then he got lucky and didn't get smashed by a truck while running the streets. Then he got unlucky and was attacked by the neighbor's dog. And then, he got lucky and you found him. Sounds like that's all the luck he'll need for now on.

Duke, he is just turning 2.

Sorry for the sideways picture. Can't figure out how to rotate in TinyPic.

Looks straight to me.. and Duke is one cool dude! Had a GS growing up named Duke, ruled the farm, until thunder hit, then he’d shake so bad and try to hide anywhere he could. There was a porcupine in the back field he’d go after once a year or so. He’d come home with a mouthful, and would be waiting by the truck to take him to the vets. LOL

Ah, poor guy - hope he makes a speedy recovery. Don't feel bad, can't watch them every second, just like kids -- they get in the wrong spot and things can go bad in a hurry. Just be glad he's still with you -- my aunt had a little dog she just doted on and then one day she accidentally backed over it w/ her car and it died. I don't think she ever got over that... But most dogs are pretty smart the second time around, so I'm sure Bobby will remember where not to snooze in your shop!

Here's our little girl, Lucy, a Lhasa mix about 7 years old. She's still young enough to play fetch, but old enough not to chase deer or other dogs when we have her out front. In the garage she fiercely protects me so no boogedy-man gets me.

Here are my two watch dogs. The lab is my daughter’s, but he stays with us while she is at work. The lab and my shepherd get along very nicely.

Both are rescues and both have their own stories.

The lab was seized from his owner by local authorities. Both of his ears had cuts like someone took scissors and cut right up the middle. Both ears are missing fur off the back and his head has life-long scars. He came with heart worms and every parasite know to dogs. Fortunately, he has made a full recovery and is a great dog. Well, he does not like too many neighborhood dogs.

My shepherd had four other homes until I got her. Most of the homes were housing her until a forever home could be found. For me this would be shepherd number seven, my first female and first rescue. She was wonderful on the meeting day and perhaps one more day after that. After that, well let’s say, the neighbors named her Cujo, and rightly so. She wanted to bite people and fight with every dog. For being 17 months old she was very spirited. My work was cut out for me. Before I could work on training, she was extremely hungry and began losing weight.. Went to various vets, including specialist. Her weight went from 60 pounds (small shepherd) to 30 pounds. This was occurring even after increasing her food to six cups, which doubled her recommended daily amount. It took awhile, long while, to find out she had EPI. She was not processing any food. Once on medication, everything turned back into a normal healthy dog. I was able to socialize her and fully train her on and off leash. She now loves other dogs and people.

This is the most expensive free dog I ever had.
