Meet Lucy, stray that wondered up and slept under my truck. Wife put add of FB locally seeing if anyone knows her- no one claimed.

Turns out, house trained and super sweet.

Then she had puppies: they are going to get weened and shots, fingers crossed adopted!

No clue on daddy.

Marley is a SWEET looking little pooch. Love her like crazy because they just don't live anywhere NEAR long enough.

This thread got started because I lost my two Labradors, Dudley & Sooner (avatar). When Sooner was young the movie "Marley & Me" was new and he got nonstop attention everywhere. He was wary of some people but he LOVED little kids who would rush up saying, "Marley! Marley". I was always glad he liked children so well.

Rest in Paradise my life time best friends. EVERY dog reminds me of you but especially the Labs and Goldens.

Said goodbye to my garage dog, after 12 great years he fell asleep and never woke up.

My mastiff lived a very long life.
TERRIBLY sorry to hear of your loss. I had my own dog pass away in the night not too long ago. She apparently crawled over to my side of the bed because she could no longer jump onto it. I guess she wanted to be as close to me as she could when she felt something happening to her.

Rest in paradise to ALL pups.

Just had to say bye to these 2 today. My parent inlaws two dogs, but still part of the family pack.
When the inlaws were out walking with them yesterday morning they got into a field of sheep while chasing rabbits, decided they were easier to catch instead and went on a killing spree.

I apologize. I meant to hit the sad face and hit like instead because I'm stupid😖 That is a good, long life for a mastiff.

By "Bye" did you mean put down, or given to someone? Sad either way, but I know that livestock killing can't be tolerated.

They were taken to the animal rescue. Inlaws wanted them both put down but no vet round here will put down a healthy dog. They're both just under 5 years old.
Not really sure what chance they have of being rehomed in what is basically a farming community.
The rescue centre already has dozens of lurchers in too.

Our dog Nova helping keep me awake a couple of weeks ago as I installed new front struts and ball joints on our daughter's 06 Mini R52S. She did not appreciate going to bed at 4am (I had to get it wrapped up that night, as I had an appointment for the post-install alignment in the morning).

Sorry to hear about kitty. What happened to her? Natural causes, age? Or a car/other?
Thanks, natural causes she was riddled with tumors, we had no idea, she was 12 but a month ago she was looking perfectly healthy, then within the space of a week she went downhill.

Nothing to be done really.

Ugh, tragic.

I had a similar situation a few years ago when one of our two adopted black miniature poodles went blind literally overnight. Turned out she had a brain tumor and we hadn't realized there was any issue. Vet said it was probably there and causing her pain for months but she hid it well. She wanted a little more cuddling in the weeks leading up - probably thought we could relieve her pain. I still feel guilty for not noticing something was wrong earlier.

Sorry to hear that, yeah the guilt ***** but really what can we have done, no one was to know.
It took us 5 visits to the vet before they did an ultrasound and found the tumors.

And she hid it so well, much like yours I guess. Just happy I got to spend some time with her before the end.

You don't realize how large a part of your life your pets are, until you lose them.

Gratuitous pictures of my new doggy girlfriend, Fifi. Just had her groomed yesterday so she looks very white and fluffy. Now I’m feeling like I should have had her cut shorter since it’s SO damned hot lately.

She was adopted in March, is 18 months now and is super affectionate. She’s a great off leash trail dog - runs ahead - never out of sight - but comes back to check in. Comes running full out when called. LOVES affection and being spoken to. Wags the entire time I’m telling her how pretty she is and what a good dog she is. I swear she understands!F560D9F7-D0EA-4CF8-84F5-94C22640DB56.jpeg
