I got a fabrication job a few years ago that required me to have my own tools, so I had to take my 26" Craftsman setup out of my shop to take to work. I replaced it with this Costco stainless steel unit. I think it was $599 in '07.

transamfan- interesting drawer setup. Do you keep all your sockets in the top drawer or do you keep them in the 3rd drawer from the top??

top is screwdrivers, prybars, etc. the second is wrenches, the third and deepest is sockets. Since getting my cart I have alot of my common tools in there and find myself wanting more deep drawers in my stationary box for specialized equipment. the Matco box I have has way too many thin drawers. plus just too many drawers all together. the large triple bay would have suited me better I think.same config in the top part just 3 bays instead of 4 in the bottom.

I still have LOTS of room to fill, looking at power tools first. Also, trying to prioritize other purchases. I'm sure in time it will be full. Or, fuller than it is now at least.

Everyone needs a gun in their tool box! I used to work with a guy who kept a loaded Mac 10 in his tool box. Scared the **** out of me when I asked to borrow something that was in the same drawer!

He must live in a high crime neighborhood. I have a friend who lives in Detroit and he keeps 2 loaded glocks in his Snap On box.

I got this about a month ago. It's a Waterloo Traxx I got for a very reasonable price. I figured it would take awhile to fill it up, but it seems most of the drawers are already accounted for...just that the tools now have a bit more breathing room :bounce:

Here it is next to my old toolbox - also a Waterloo.

I have a waterloo just like that! the old one that is. It was my first box, dad left it behind when he moved away. It still houses extra tools, big wrenches, and such. They built those pretty good.

Is that box from the Killeen, TX area?

Yup got it off craigslist. Was actually in the Temple are. Is there Something I should know about. The previous owner said it was bought off his buddies truck who was a Mac dealer back then but all my research says it's a Mountain Toolbox. Doesn't matter much It will work for what I need it for.

Ha, you got that from a friend of ours. Jake.

I stand corrected! I didn't know you could get those textures in Powder, thought it was Rustoleum! There are some real artists out there with Rattle Cans!

There are actually lots of cool powdercoating options I've seen and had done for various school projects. Just google something like powdercoat hammertone or powdercoat vein and see what pops up!
