THere is over 8 locks on that thing. It should have central locking with one remote for added cool factor.

If that were mine, the lock would be on the building, never mind the boxes ;-). I can't see letting anyone near those who needed to be locked out.

I rearranged the complaint department to add SAM. There are handles on both ends of the box and at 24' long you would be surprised on how easy 2 guys can move it.

That sounds like the ideal size for storing tools. I went to look at the 40+" deep ones, but I couldn't even reach to the back of the drawer

Your shadow setup on the sockets looks really good. Makes it easy to spot when one is missing I bet.

Very nice. Although I don't own any of the red/grey craftsman boxes, I really like them. Dare I ask how the quality compares in person, the old vs the new?

The old one is made of heavier gauge metal and sturdier and has more character I think, the new one has bearing slides though which is nice.

I originally posted that. Retail price is over $105k. They used the back of the box as a projector screen during the tool show.

Jim Wright is a line tech at Ashville Ford in Ashville, NC. This past summer he took delivery of a new Snap-on tool storage system that sells for over $33,000, but he didn’t spend a dime for it.

Bill Jahn, Jim’s local Snap-on distributor in the Southeast region, dropped his customers’ up-to-date payment cards into a raffle box at the company’s regional tool show last spring, and Jim’s card was chosen as the grand prize winner.

And the grand prize was a 12' long and 8' tall toolbox.

The base is a KERN843B4PU, EPIQ-series 84" roll cab with 19 drawers, offering 53,407 cubic inches of storage space and 8,000 pounds of load capacity. It has a stainless steel top with raised edges and electrical outlets, and the casters ride on torsion spring suspension.

The 30" side lockers (KELN301BLPU and BRPU) each have six drawers, torsion spring casters and 32,835 cubic inches of space. The WorkCenter

There's $30k in bulk overhead bins, not counting the hutches.... in that monster.

ACK, a 12' long WHITE box?? that's gonna be a ***** to keep clean in a working shop.

yeah my dealer showed me that box when he got back from the tool show last year. crazy big and dumb. you cant even use all that over head storage without a 24 ft extension ladder and it would have to be in a warehouse to fit it anywhere.

I know my setup retails for a bit over 28k. As for Brians setup, an epiq mr. big is about 21k, then 14k for the other box, roughly 4k for each locker and 3500 for each hutch. Retail prices of course.

I created this a while back.

My box was just over 61K with the stainless tops and power drawer add ons. I traded in my 24 year old KR1000 with top chest and 2 side cabs. Then I built this for my Snapon dealer (thats him in the boat) which more than covered the cost of the box. I was a Snappy dealer back in the 80's and have well over 300K in their tools and equipment in my home shop.

Here's pix of my main tool boxes, the gray Craftsman was a chirstmas gift from my wife in 1976, the Red Husky box stack was given to me by a good
friend when he was remodeling his shop and didn't need it anymore. The wooden box on top was originally a box for holding camera filters from the
camera repair shop from the school picture company I worked for for 20+
years.
The wooden box is now back in my little workshop just off the display room
for my antique radio collection.

The last pix is of a box like my Craftsman Rally box that I got for christmas from my
folks in 1971 when I started my first electronics tech job. I'm working on
restoring it now.

Costco $329.99? That's a nice box. I love the color. Reminds me of Lambo Murcielagos.

Princess auto for under $500 canadian but well worth in to me, gives my tools a home and me the $500 price difference between this and the box I was looking into for tools

I got rid of the black plastic top that was on it to make room for a top box and I painted the trim black (chrome didn't look right to me)

No re-powered with our custom 800 HP engine packages, SCX IMCO drive system, Custom carbon fiber dash panels, custom swim platform, new Stainless Marine Gen III 6" exhaust, touch screen GPS, new gauages and lots of fiberglass and gel work to mention a few things we did. His bill was north of 100K and growing.

I wish there was a Costco somewhere remotely near me, I'm really liking that Kubota branded box.

That room looks like an operating theater. Did the dog have to go though DeCon before being allowed to lounge on the floor ?
