It's a Quentor, all the big boys have em... :D

I think you're refering to the wheelguns, 1 black and 1 yellow?

At the risk of sounding stupid....what the heck is a wheel gun?

That sure is a nicely organized tool box, who did the foam cutting for you?

I've seen some quentor boxes before. I assume you work in motorsport. I think I remember them being made of plastic although just as tough as any steel box I've seen.

They're a mixture of aluminium and gfp.

Yes, assume away. :bounce:

Great organization. In what industry do you work?

Impact gun for changing wheels. No, it's not a measly SnapOn MG725. :p

SnapOn did the foam routing.

They sure did a nice job, I dont think I could commit to having the foam cut so nicely unless I was absolutely sure I had every tool I would ever need already.

If someone can tell me how to post the pictures and have them appear big like some of these I will post pics of my drawers. I'm doing this from my iPhone and above the keypad is a camera icon and next is the picture of a mountain and then a bird. I usually click on the mountain but when I do it that way my pics are small
Help!!

I'm a "boltie", e.g. race mechanic. On that specific project with the toolbox which is a LMP2 car, I'm the gearbox guy besides normal boltie duties and the inside gunner when the car runs.

For now this is my collection of tools that has gotten me out of trouble, well all of the tools that will fit my two little boxes. I got tools all over the garage.

img_0919.jpg

Mixture of diagnostic tools and mixture of odds that I use once in awhile.
img_0920.jpg

Not much 1/4" drive stuff.
img_0921.jpg

Alot more 3/8" stuff
img_0922.jpg

My 1/2" stuff,

More knick nacks that's gotten me out of binds,

Bottom drawer of my top box,
img_0925.jpg

No idea why there was a piece of glass in my wrench drawer! Must have been my security system! LOL
img_0926.jpg

pliers and such,
img_0927.jpg

Mixture of stuff in the other three little drawers,
img_0928.jpg

I got more screw drivers but I've been working at the church and so i got a bunch of tools in the truck so that's why there are some bare spots.

Old setup is on page 159 and post #3172http://garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=860215&postcount=3172

Haven't posted an update to my tool box in a while, so here goes. Added a top box and cart. Added both between May 2010 June 2011. I have since upgraded the cart this past week. Icing on the cake was passing my last two ASE certs for master tech status. Plan on taking L1 in the spring.

FOCUS.FREAK, in your last pic, what brand is the long die grinder?

It's from HF. The last shop I worked at it sat in the parts room for months. nobody claimed it so I took it. Last time I checked I didn't see it on the website.

Had this for a while, a constant work in progress:

E8EFE43C-C88B-4181-9E31-EE3739AFCEA6-3394-0000071DB2132E0B_zpsc15d009f.jpg

Nice looking setup!

Got a couple of questions .... first, what is the blue device on the right side of the box above the WD40 can that appears to have a large magnetic base?

Second, are the numerous trays on the right side also magnetic? What brand are they and where did you get them?

Just bought a H.F. 5 drawer cart today. changed the monster 6" casters on the cart that are over kill and put on 3" casters to lower the thing down to match the 44" box.
Moving other boxes trying to make more room. Sold three Craftsman boxes last week and need to move one more roller and my 80 gallon compressor.. Had 3 tops, 4 centers , 3 rollers.

I like what you got going, but I disagree with the casters. sometimes I wish the ones on mine were bigger, but that's just because the cracks in the floor at my shop are more like canyons!:lol_hitti

Just bought the box on the right and trying to figure out how to cram the stuff from at least 1 of the other 2 inside it. I thought I was going to downsize, but I think I've just added a third box instead.

This is the issue I have with the overly deep drawers on many newer boxes. Square inches almost always wins over cubic inches... (Having both is a good thing however...)

My current setup is a mac tools box t the right with a mac tools side box and a international side cabinet. The center is a snap on with overhead cabinets stacked on top of one another. And finally to the left is the well know harbor freight cart. I added a new 1/4 plate bottom tray. A few interior pics. But its all going to change soon. I have a Krl1023 with a custom drawer configuration with a hutch and overhead storage coming

I agree with you. Unfortunately most of the 26 inchers have not enough deep drawers, and the 40 inchers and larger have too many deep drawers.

I am on the fence about buying a new 44 incher over my 26 incher. Mainly because every socket organizer system I want is just not space efficient for a 26inch setup.

Would you fellas with 26 inch boxes show how you went about organizing your sockets in a lower deep drawer? I usually keep my sockets in the top of my box but i may have to use one of my lower deep drawers because its slightly deeper front to rear, and the top of my box has a reinforcing lip that runs around the top tray making for a cluttered layout.

If your thinking of putting both sae and metric 1/2 in organizers on top it wont work with the hansen socket organizers. Here is what my dads 44 top drawer layout is. He had it all out of wack before i straightened it out.

I think the HF 44 is the best deal right now.
