First off that box is awesome and exactly what im hoping to buuld my 84" into. Would you happen to know the part no. Of those additional drawers in your right hand locker? I see them referenced in one of snap on's pdf.s but cant find them in the catalogue.

Thanks
Rich

Thanks for the kind words, you too R-Savage.

If I recall correctly I did NOT order additional locker drawers. When building the box you can divvy up the shelf / drawer combo. I did however order additional shelves.
So to answer your question, all I did was move the drawers from one side to the other. I got it exactly right without even thinking about it. Just got lucky.

I didn't pay attention to it much more than the color after I saw it was made like the cheap red boxes they sell

Thanks for the reply and would you be able to give me the exact part number for that box. I would just talk with my snap on guy but he is new (as in only been doing it for like 4 months) and really doesn't know the toolboxes and tools all that well yet so I would like to go to him with an exact part number and say "I want this". I really do hate to copy you on the box but I've wanted that color combo ever since i saw it in the KRL setup almost a year ago, only difference now is that I'm more financially stable to buy it if I can get my hands on one.:D

The small one appears to be a 4008. What model is the bigger one?

Love the black BTW.

Saw this Milwaukee box at my local Home Depot yesterday, nice looking and sturdy, 30" width and 18" depth, just not sure if it's worth the $498 + tax they are pricing it at.

That is correct 4008 the bigger one is a KRA5318 I picked up the 4008 on CL for 175$ with some random tools in it I really want to sell them both and by a KRL with two full length drawers. Maybe some day.

Where'd you see that? I'm not finding it anywhere online, but it looks nicely colored. is it 46" like the milwaukee?

My local Lowes has one. I pulled some drawers out and it was really flimsy feeling. For the price, I am still liking my HF 44" which is thicker metal for sure

Just saw the Porter Cable box at my local Lowe's, looks like they are already discounting them deeply, but even at $249 per top and bottom, the HF is a much much better buy. The PC box is flimsier than most Husky and Craftsman boxes I have checked out, especially the drawers, horrible drawer layout...the only positive was a nice job on the paint.

I thought it was flat/matte. I love a matte finish on pretty much anything. I love you box even more now, wait that sounds wrong.
I can't afford a beautiful box like that. So, I am going to get a relatively cheap box and wrap it in a matte vinyl.

To me matte looks good on everything as well lol. Wrapping a cheaper tool box would of been the smart way to go, unfortunately for me I'm a little dumb lol

Thanks guys. In regards to the top tire: I had lost a weight about two thirds of the way through the tires life & I said screw it as it was going to need to be replaced anyways because of a bad alignment on that corner of my truck.

Very nice box. Gotta love a clean black toolbox. It's a timeless classic. Drawer pics are a must. People including myself really like to see how others organize their stuff. Also we see tools sometimes we never seen before and then WANT!
