Sigh, my grandfather drove a Submarine in WWII
My Grandfather served in WWII and Korea and was a boxer in the Army as well, My Dad told me some story's about him and he did not put up with anyone's ****, I guess I know where my Brothers and I get that trate from![]()

hahahaha........niether my dad of myself had all of our front teeth![]()

Sigh, my grandfather drove a Submarine in WWII and spent the rest of his life as a mechanic/ bodyman. My grandmother sold/gave all of his tools, of course all snap on from that era, and all his WWII gear away. My father was a bean counter, so I had to star from scratch. I'm so jealous of you guys who have history from your family to hold on to.![]()

WOW. you are going to complain about being "**** on" and then say other people are too sensitive
This is just the internet, don't take to heart what some jackass types.![]()
Tools are tools. Some are better than others. Some people take price into consideration. If the price is right by me and it's made in USA then I'm buying regardless of brand.
(edit)
Krusty beat me to it.
so what exactly aren't you impressed with![]()

my box
LOVE that box setup Buba! Did you spray your pegboard silver to match? We need some pics of the contents! Thats a nice looking rig for sure. Black boxes just look sinister.. kinda like black cars. Very nice..![]()
I'm just saying you say something nice and someone finds a way to twist it around. I made a comment about the guy using Duralast stuff until he can afford better tools and someone had to say something. I'm not **** hurt or anything about it. Some people just love drama I guess.

NICE....I only have one side locker. Damn I'm jealous. I'll post my boxes soon.
No dont get me wrong. lot of nice boxs. its not what I was thinking... a lot of automotive. but this is geared towards a home garage forum.
I never went by the screen name snap-on..![]()

Mac box, I couldn't find a sticker or stamping on the outside but from looking online seems to be a mb1700. The side box is a snap on KR28B. I bought both boxes with Snap-On, Mac, Blue Point and other good tools in it for $450.00.

Nice box there Curb! I have a MB1500 that I am going to restore.![]()
Curbnaround,
Nice box. I actually like the debadged version.
I have a mb1700 and it looks just like that. Yours may be an earlier one because I have spring loaded caster and I don't see the springs on the casters in the pic. I am in the process of getting all my slides replaced, the detents are gone and if you move the box, all the drawers open up.

Early 80's I believe.
Thanks guys....it came along at the right time.
My drawers open up also and I need the clips that keep the drawers from falling out. Also, the handle is mounted in the middle of the drawer where your badge is so you are probably correct about it being an earlier model.
Any idea how old this box is? The guy had been a mechanic for over 25 years but passed away a few years back. His daughter was finally selling off some of his stuff.
Early 80's I believe.
Hey Bryon, where and how are you getting the slides? Is MAC replacing them for free? I need one or 2 for mine and I figured if you have BKM, lets rock and roll.![]()
Just be patient. Search craigslist and ask local tool dealers. You never know when one might come up used. I want a locker for mine and I am just waiting till the right one comes along used. Here's mine, a KRL 1001 that I bought used. I did order some new drawers, swapped out some of the 4" deep for some 2" for more layout space. As you can see by the collection on top, I could use the 1201 also, just can't bring myself to pay new prices..![]()
I am glad to see so many people have the same sickness as I do. My wife had me beleiving I was alone.
Here are mine.
