Outlawmws, I'm so tempted but I'm having a hard time getting my head around something so different from what I'm used to.
I keep looking at them, studying is more like it, and try to picture myself working out of it and I can't seem to make it work for me.
Although everything is perfectly organized it just seems like too much stuff in such a small space for me.

They work great, everything is organized and right there. I have mine set up on a matco tool cart and roll it up to what ever I'm working on.

I fully understand you not wanting to step up in boxes but I was in a very similar situation at both my full-time job as well as at my home shop/business and was tired of opening several drawers for task similar tools. I had multiple boxes and had done the whole toolbox shuffle from home to work and back again too many times to mention.

With the amount of task like tools I have the only way I found to keep them in related drawers was in fact a larger box. It is so much more efficient to open a socket drawer and have ALL of my sockets in one drawer, open a wrench drawer and have ALL of my wrenches in one drawer. As for screwdrivers and other small items it isn't as much of a dilemma, but sockets and wrenches seem to the be hardest to house in single drawers without simply going to a larger box. Also when you get to that many like tools in single drawers you have to start thinking weight capacity of said drawers. There are a lot of boxes that can in fact physically house sockets and wrenches but for how long. If a weekend wrencher and only going to be opening the drawer a few dozen times a weekend you'll probably be fine, add twenty times a night and 8-10 hours a day on weekends and those drawers aren't going to last long term.

Just my thoughts.

I completely agree with you, I have my full time 40+ hr job and my shop/business on the side. I spend about 20hrs during the week opening tool drawers and about 20hrs on the weekends opening tool drawers.
That being said, I've already started looking at 72"+ roll cabs. Did some math this afternoon as suggested a few posts back.
I'll certainly post some pics when the new box makes it into the shop.

I bought the smaller one so it would fit under the tonneau cover when I bring it home. Under the upper sockets I have my most used pliers, including a full set of knipex cobra. Under the bottom tray is a couple of files u joints and other random stuff. hammers, chisels, punches and crows feet are in the bottom. Between the Montezuma and my tool cart I rarely have to go back to my 72".

I put some lipstick on this pig, just for fun. I use this HF service cart at work, and it makes me smile. I de-chromed it, took the stock stickers off, added vintage-type stickers, a cast, chromed 'Ford' logo, machined a name plate (on the left), and ditched the stock lid supports for ones that open all the way.

It's a repro for one on the glove box door of a '40 Ford I had. Probably from Bob Drake or Dennis Carpenter. Somehow, I hung on to it when I got rid of the '40. Being an old Ford guy, it fits.

Just got these 2 Kennedy boxes to go with my existing set up. Paid a whopping 150! I don't really need the top machinists box, but they came as a pair.

You could switch over to the newer handles for the lower chest if you want to. They're held on by sheet metal screws threaded into a channel on the handles.

Finally got everything organized.

I really need a bigger box, but I'm holding out for a KRL722, but might get a HF 44" in the mean time. I also have a "junk box" filled with randoms.

Sockets are Craftsman, hex sockets are Williams, impact sockets are Tekton, extensions are Koken, and ratchets are Snap-On.

I am working out of my Mac tool cart, sliding tops. What you have in that Montezuma is what I have in three drawers and the top deep portion. That really is a slick tool chest. You’ve got me thinking. That would be wicked for throwing in the service truck, covers 90% of tools you need most times. I spend more time at my 72” main box on the computer than I do picking tools. Maybe a montezuma too chest on top of a slightly different cart is in my future.

I am working out of my Mac tool cart, sliding tops. What you have in that Montezuma is what I have in three drawers and the top deep portion. That really is a slick tool chest. You’ve got me thinking. That would be wicked for throwing in the service truck, covers 90% of tools you need most times. I spend more time at my 72” main box on the computer than I do picking tools. Maybe a montezuma too chest on top of a slightly different cart is in my future.

It works great for moving back and forth from a service truck. Everything in my tool cart is set up in cases or racks to be able to unload everything into a truck quickly.

Basically like pegboard and you add pegs to hold sockets, wrenches, ratchets, etc. I don't like it for ratchets, so I only used one section. I did some other minor reorganizing in other drawers, I'll take pictures later.

Upgraded one of my Craftsman stacks from 1990 to a black on black Husky 56-inch. Installed an Alienware Alpha R2 head unit to control my CNC and 3D Printer, but still working out all the drawer organization.

I absolutely love that but the price is a deal killer. Any chance you could get the measurements and cnc file? Seems like the perfect item build your own to the exact size of your drawer
