Recently got myself a new box for work.. took my old one home to sit next to my fathers matco tripple bay drop top.

move is mostly done.. still moving things around.. soo much more room. the little double bay was overloaded.. got a good deal on the TUV and ive always had a soft spot for them. buy once cry once

still need to get a cover of sorts for it.. its in the plastic still. also need to figure out a light. no way im paying snap on price for a hutch light

Outside is painted with ace rust stop primer and paint, inside will be bedliner. Its 51.5" wide, 18" long, and 6" deep if anyone was wondering. Will update as soon as the paint drys, bedliner gets sprayed, and its home.

I probably will.. Ive been debating on adding gas struts to the lids, and some sort of sliding tray on the inside.

Its home and ive started putting things in it. Its nothing special but it beats the heck out of spending money and letting long tools sit outside of the box. Dont mind the awful lighting, its the best I had in the shed. Also thoughts on the black handles? I painted a few up to see how i would like it. Im kind of leaning towards wrapping them orange.

Here's my humble setup, with some no prep pics. I didnt do any cleaning or organizing because I wanted to be honest with what it always looks like, good or bad haha.

Basic 48" el-cheapo workbench where I made a top out of 2x6s all planed to make a nice surface, and a Craftsman box setup that I've had since high school.

The box itself is pretty well full, so I'm in need of re-organizing and a new box.

The top shelf is not very accessable so it's become a bit of a collection point for stuff I dont use often or just stuff.

Ignition wrenches, hex keys, gloves, stickers vehicle badges, etc.

The top drawer is my general pliers drawer:

Then some misc wrenches that dont get used too often, tappets, flair nuts and adjustables:

Third drawer is my metric chrome socket drawer, also home to some extensions, adapters and U-joints:

Fourth drawer down is my standard chrome sockets, E-torx some squares, and spark plug sockets:

The final drawer in the top cabinet is my ratchets, breaker bar, nut drivers, torx and hex sockets:

The top drawer in the intermediate cabinet is my ratcheting combo wrenches, picks, roll pin punches, chisels, and misc punches:

The bottom drawer of the intermediate cabinet is screwdrivers and torx drivers

Top drawer of the base cabinet is non ratcheting combo wrenches:

Then things start to go down hill...

The next drawer is hammers, Hex T-handles, a couple cutters, some brake tools, a chain brake tool, and some brushes:

Then my microfiber drawer because I'm a clean car freak and dont really have any other good spot for these in my garage:

Next up is impact sockets, vacuum bleeder, torque wrenches and some misc large sockets:

Then the bottom drawer has become a catch all for stuff that I dont really know what to do with and a tap and die set:

Now that I've made this post, I really need to spend a day or two re-organizing this baby.

Also this whole garage is coming down next year for a new one, so I'm looking forward to making a thread on that project.

Looks like the guy unstrapped the box not knowing all 4 wheels were in caster mode and the crown of the road and resulting slope of the trucks bed, along with a lack of side rails resulted in a very expensive mistake.

***** even more if the truck is owned by the same guy that owns the box!

After looking at at brazillian on craigslist and talking to a few sellers I concluded this was the best deal, by far. He was willing to separate, but only if the hutch sold first. Rented a penske truck with a lift gate and made a 250 mile round trip to get it today. Inside the hutch needs decent lighting. Idinged one piece of trim that i need to replace. I love how clean it looks once I removed the stickers.

Very nice! If you're ever bored that Wilton on your bench would look awesome stripped down and repainted with the matching Snap-on orange spray paint. Looks like it might be a good excuse to move it a little further down the bench to protect that beautiful box a bit too!

Vice will be getting moved to the other end of the bench. Vice ain't mine so I have no interest in painting it.

Was going to buy a HF tool cart when I headed to Buffalo but ended getting a Gray Tools toolbox for cheap. Cleaned it inside and out, cleaned and greased the friction slides, new cam lock, bought 2 new swivel casters and then scored 4 casters from work which I used 2 of. Bought some drawer liners from HF which are top notch quality, almost like memory foam. Ribbed rubber mat on top, HF magnetic bar cut to size and bolted into push handle spots, extra magnets I used on top to hold the corners of the ribbed mat down.

Its a solid little box which cost way less than buying the HF cart, it's Made in Canada, all 4 corners swivel on a dime. I am happy with the way it turned out. I can sit on my mechanic stool and see into the top drawer with ease. Decided to put my fast grab tools inside, still have the big box if I need to dip into.

Got lucky and local store had an end cabinet in stock. Got a roll of drawer liner as well to cover the two adjustable shelves and fixed bottom shelf. The bottom drawer comes with a precut liner.

LOL...

My Wife is allowed a 2 foot x 8 foot area floor to ceiling, a deep freeze (appox 30 x 60 inches), a fridge and a parking place for her Tahoe in the garage.

In exchange I am allowed a chair in front of the TV, 20% of the bed, a Beer Fridge in the kitchen and my own sink in the Master Bath.

It is her house and my Garage(s)...it works for us...
