Long-time lurker, here .. and the thing that finally flushed me into the open is an observation I think might spark some interesting discussion. Given the opportunity to go in either direction, do more folks prefer to store their commonly used tools (open/box wrenches, screw drivers, sockets and related stuff) on a wall ... or in a drawer? And, of course, why?
great looking cabinets, can you show us a good shot of how you made your cabinet door slider tracks? and what is the ********* thing against the wall?
I can only speak for myself as to why I have tools in a box rather than on peg board. I use my walls for shelving and am out of wall space. My garage is automotive for the most part. Being self employed as a one man contractor I do use it for construction stuff from time to time. I also do automotive repairs for customers although I would rather just have the garage for myself. So I keep a lot of supplies on hand. If I did not work out of my garage I could see hanging tools and showing them off at the same time.SuitersGarage: So, why do you think so many (but definately not all) workbench areas are set-up with peg-board arrangements? From looking at this thread it doesn't appear to be woodworking vs. automotive application based.
