1969 Chevy Camaro. Working on sheetmetal now. Aftermarket panels are a pain. I might have to get professional help if I can't get them to fit better.
ZRX61,
Nice bench, and I like the Vise's at either end. What kind are they?

Last Christmas I got 2 of my nephews a vice each to complement their growing tool collections. So when my girlfriend & I visited them a couple of weeks ago during a motorcycling trip we were given the job of making some workbenches to mount the vices on rather than being at either end of a sawstool which had been the temporary stand.

That was one of my favorite things as a kid-having my own work bench right by my dad's. Nice job on the gifts and the benches! Good to see kids taking an interest in that kind of thing. I hope to do that for my own kids some day.Last Christmas I got 2 of my nephews a vice each to complement their growing tool collections. My sister had scrounged up some scrap packing timber at work, which was actually surprisingly good stuff for the job so after engaging the stakeholders in a design meeting we got stuck into the build. With a good selection of tools on hand including a sweet new drop saw, by mid afternoon we had the projects ready for handover.

The plan was to make them a height that the boys will grow into, & have some sturdy boxes for them to stand on in the meantime.
The boys aren't too far apart in ages so the simple solution to avoid fights over toys is just to get them the same of everything!

We also helped my bro in law who was busy fitting out the inside of their new shed. It's going to be a great space once it's done.
Cheers

Heres some pictures of my simple project that turned in to a full on workstation. It all started with me asking to get some shipping boxes that kept getting thrown away at work made out of baltic birch ply. Well i kept thinking man these would make great cabinets and or building material in general. Well after I bought my house just over a year ago i got the OK to bring some home. I started by ripping off the feet and throw one up on the wall to see how it would look and it just kept going after that.

I highly doubt ill ever be done. i added a couple more pictures below.

Thank you at the beginning of all this i stumbled on this site and i been hooked ever since. I started on it last August and that picture was taken in January. Its been a here and there project when i get time and resources. After buying the house money was tight and most was spent on the bathroom that needed some much needed remodeling. Almost everything that it was build out of was salvage and repurposed from here and there so that took some time sourcing everything. By the way cabinet doors are on the very long list of things i want to incorporate yetI highly doubt ill ever be done. i added a couple more pictures below.....

HF 44" box & drawer extension, and a 6ft Gladiator work bench which I picked up for $27 from sears outlet.com, with the help of a severely incompetent order pickup clerk at the sears I picked it up from.
BEST DEAL EVER.
Looks great! Would look better with cabinet doors!![]()
I agree, green sliding doors, then leave the corner cabinet open, and put your stereo equipment inside of that one.

Finished up my new bench with stainless steel cover yesterday.
