32 oz??? I LOVE these style hammers! I have 4 Snap On green 'alien" ball peens. Cost a fortune, but are the nicest, most ergonomic hammers I've ever used. Esp. at long hitting intervals or hard hitting intervals.

It's heavier than 32oz -- it's actually 47oz!

I'm not sure why they don't have the part numbers line up with the total weights. I wonder if the part number is the head weight, and the other weight is from the handle? Actually, that doesn't make sense, since Joel told me that the TCBP32 and TCBP40 have the same head with different handle lengths.

I am very happy with the new hammer, and even more so with the customer service!

It's a shame that after TC has gone to such lengths to accommodate you, that your other thread is still trumpeting "Trusty Cook, Poor QC" to the internet. After the search engine web crawlers find that and index it, that thread title will start showing up in web searches all over the world. Doesn't really seem fair to the company, given the actual outcome does it.

I think it's the same thing with Snap-on hammers. A 32oz hammer actually weighs about 37oz. I think the given weight is just the head.

I agree that is unfortunate, and that's why I have been trying to make it very clear that I am now happy with the product, customer service, and overall experience. If anyone sees an area where I've been unfair or inaccurate in my statements, by all means, please point them out to me so that I can correct them.

I have now edited my original post to note that the problem was resolved satisfactorily, and that I have an overall positive impression of TC.

You should have stayed with the original thread instead of starting this one. The way it is now, people will have to flip back and forth between two threads to get the whole story.

Can't fix that now :( The two threads do reference each other, although you're right that you need to read 2 separate threads.
