My store has 2 in stock, but not discounted.

Here is receipt and sale sticker for the Lincoln Port a Torch set.![]()
Note: I got additional 10% military discount, so it rang up at $94.18
I called another local store here in Easton, PA. They have in stock but not discounted. It had another item number associated with it and I was told some stores are not carrying it any longer and are discounting it, but the Easton store will continue to stock, but at the regular price. So it was just a lucky hit for me, but still, some stores may drop it too. Also, there is another set Lowe's carries online without bottles that retails at $199, Item #: 486625 Model #: KH777. It comes up online. My set is the KH776 and came with bottles. May have to do with the trend that bottles are usually leased and not owned.
Bryan, thank you!!! I brought in your picture on my phone (along with my 4 year old girl so I looked respectable), and they agreed to price match. I was $111 out the door with tax.
Thanks again,
Slow.
Same here... thanks Bryan. They price matched (their clearance was showing $200+) and I used the 10% off, $98.80 out the door!
I was going to have to pay someone to cut the tabs off my bucket when I switched my loader to SSQA, now I can do it myself. Wonder if those tanks will last (obviously they come unfilled, I know) long enough to cut off both brackets. I haven't done O/A since high school.
Lincoln Electric Port a Torch 81597 $104.65 Bethlehem Pa. I opened it up. Bottles included.

I pulled trigger and got it. Had associate check local area inventory and several popped up, so it may be national.
The description said it would only weld 1/16" mild steel. Is that correct? IT also says with extra tip and larger acetylene tank it can weld 1/2" material
Here's one to keep an eye out for : Lincoln Electric Port-a-Torch lowes # 98353
These are $299 in most stores, but I have seen them on clearance in a couple stores in DE. was $104 in one store and $74 in another.
That's the rating. You can I'm sure do thicker stuff, but acetylene has a certain amount you can take from the tank in a certain period of time. It's rated to cut 1", which is what I'm using it for.
Well my Lowes wouldn't price match, still showing a stocked item and wouldn't price match out of state.

Thanks for the info ishiboo
Is it safe to assume you can use the torch, hoses, & regulators on larger tanks?
My store don't show it at all, probably all went to f'n E bay,The description said it would only weld 1/16" mild steel. Is that correct? IT also says with extra tip and larger acetylene tank it can weld 1/2" material
Intersting thing about this, I used the online Lowes stock checker for my area and everything showed 299. Then I checked Arizona and it was the same. Then I checked PA and the online prices were also all 299, including at the stores were you guys bought.
I am convinced I saw this in the local Lowes 2 days ago for 250. I think the online pricing is wrong (for any stores clearancing). I don't think I've seen this before.
Super SportSomebody said the same thing about those Record vices at Big Lots for $18...some ******* snatched them all up to sell them for profit! Can you believe the gall of some people?

[QUO TE=Harrison2;3781194]will that 1/4" head fit on the body of a 3/8" tune up kit ratchet?
will that 1/4" head fit on the body of a 3/8" tune up kit ratchet?
re: the head swap - hold on, I'll check.
edit: Sorry guys, thats a no-fly. It's not even close.
The 1/4" is actually longer than the 3/8" flex. Has the comfort handle though.

that *****
yeah but id never need a 1/4" that long![]()
