I am considering picking one up - can someone tell me the internal dimensions of the top space and the drawers? I want to stick some wood planes in the upper part but if they won't sit in there without laying down on their sides, I don't want to buy it. Also, what's the deal with that section of the lid that comes down into the storage area? Can it be removed?

These were crazy cheap at my local store. $65 after tax and a $10 off coupon. I'll check out the dimensions tonight.

I think the little lid insert is for reinforcement over the middle. That's a lot of area to lay unsupported, so it's probably to stop it from denting or bowing with pressure. If you heated it a little or grinded it down, I'm sure the welds would pop quickly, but it'd dent quickly too.

My store had those ratchets at $15 each. 4 stores about an hour away all had them for $5.62 each. I asked the cashier if she would price match and she charged me $5.00 each for the last two they had. Now if I could only find something to work on that requires two 1/4 flex head ratchets to be used simultaneously.

I went to one store, yesterday....all of the cashiers and customer service people wanted to do it (and they were willing), but when they went to get the manager's code......I got a politically correct "no, I can't match it."

I showed them a pic of the above, again....

"Are you sure?" I asked.... He said "yes."

So I turned, left it along with the armful of other stuff and walked out. The other stuff was at full price.

I went to a different store after work, and got one of these.....

The cashiers/Customer service and manager were great and had a good attitude!!!

I told them about the $95 deal, but also said that "I was Grateful for the $149.50 pricematch."

Then I used a code from

it worked and I got another $10 off....

Even though the saw is made in china, I hope that it is as good as the others that I have used in the past.

The time will tell, but also thanks for this thread!!!

Thank you!! Just picked up th display model for 90 out the door! Got some scratches and dings but its gonna get them anyway.

Actually ALL of these deals show up here in MA. $180 Cart on sale for $71 + $10 off $50 coupon= $61.. Dewalt Shear usually $180 on sale for $47... I'm from MA and just bought two of the carts and so did my coworker. My other coworker bought the dewalt electric shear after I showed it to him. You just have to look harder..

Has anyone tried removing the rubber handle from the 1/4" flex ratchet? I'm wondering if it matches the 3/8" ratchet that comes in the spark plug set?

I picked up 2 carts at the Dedham lowes today! They screwed up there price because online they offer it for $71, but in store it was marked $109. They said they'd change the price tags after I called them out on it. Guess not. Oh and my coworker bought a dewalt shear there. The shears were marked $96, but they price matched Framingham's price of $47.

Stopped in the Ranier Ave store in Seattle tonight to grab some twisted wrenches. Spotted a few new things to look for, neither come up on the lowes SKU search.

Lots of conduit on sale, this was just one example:

Gladiator mega organization kit:

And they sure had plenty of metric stubby set! There were only a handful of SAE left:

Got a cart ordered for pickup at Phillipsburg NJ store. They had more, will check on their inventory level tonight and update this post. I forgot to add the coupon for $10 off 50, so will have to see if I can at the store.

Just picked up my second cart today from p-burg. They have at least 4 more. $65 ain't bad!

These were about 22"W x 16"D x 2"H on the drawers. With the wings up it's 56" wide.

Can those side shelves be taken off from the cart?

Yep. They're nice little units, with or without those shelves. They fold down relatively flat to the sides of the box.

Very sturdy too. It's rated for 1000 lbs and I'd be pretty confident that it could handle it.

The only nuisance with that is the fact that the key needs to be turned to secure the lid down.

Anyone know of any other coupon codes? The $10 off coupon listed a few pages back is no longer working.
I used this one Monday and the $10 off was working. http://www.alunei.com/lowes-coupon-generators/

BTW, just read your garage thread yesterday. Nice work! I'm in Indianapolis too. If you're after one of those carts, the Post Rd. Lowes still has a few available for the $71 price. $65 after coupon.

Nice. I debating on picking one up, but I have no room to put this thing. I may just buy it and leave it packed up until I figure something out. Can't beat the $60+ price tag for a cart.

The box is much heavier than you would think--or maybe not if you think about how much steel is in it--but it isn't that bulky. I would say go for it!

definitely a smaller footprint when assembled. It was also quite a bit lighter then my HF 5 drawer, for obvious reasons, but I had zero issue loading or assembling by myself, where the HF cart was a pain to add the cabinet to the frame in comparison. Can't beat it for $65
