SPN, what's the deal with that safe I posted. Any ideas why it doesn't show up online?

Unfortunately, the only way to track the price now is to keep checking up on it at the store.

Seems like they're doing this a lot now, which is an awful idea. Seeing those prices gets people to go to the store. Also, it's a good resource for generating hits when people search. I don't know what they're thinking in removing the items...the average customer isn't going to change location 20 times to find a cheaper price so it wouldn't really hurt sales nearly as much as it generates sales.

Kobalt 26-in Blue Plastic Lockable Tool Box
Item #: 236554 | Model #: 9126SR
$20.00
Was: $26.98
Save 26% thru 11/14/2015

sold out at every store around here except for 1. Check your local price. If it's in stock, may be a lot cheaper

Got one last month for $7. Nice looking, roomy but too flimsy for heavy duty use. For the price it's okay but the plastic is lacking enough ridgidity or thick enough to have adequate stiffness

Kobalt 10-Piece Metric 1/4-in Drive 6-Point Socket Set
http://www.lowes.com/pd_338637-25428-85218___?productId=3438036&pl=1&Ntt=kobalt+1/4"+socket+set
$4.98 for a 10-piece set

Kobalt 10-Piece Standard (SAE) 1/4-in Drive 6-Point Socket Set
http://www.lowes.com/pd_338636-25428-85217___?productId=3438034&pl=1&Ntt=kobalt+1/4"+socket+set
$4.98 for this 10-piece set as well

At first they looked like a markdown item, but now this might be their new price? There is no "Save $XXXX through **/**/**" on the page. So maybe a hot deal, maybe not.

I thought I saw one was $2.** this weekend in Sanford. Could be wrong though.

EDIT nevermind, those were the xtreme access.

Those have been $5 for a long time. I have those sockets and I think they are a decent deal at $5. They're made in Taiwan and 6 point. I would say on par with Gearwrench and other midrange brands.

I got both the SAE and Metric sets for $9.99 earlier in the year, along with a gimmicky ratchet/adjustable wrench and some bits, back when the set below was on sale:

I'll just blame it on Alabama being slow.

I'm making a box to keep in the attached garage (Detached garage houses all the bigger tools and the bigger toolbox). I figured at $4.98 a set for 1/4-in drive sockets they would fly for everything I plan on doing with them.

It cracks me up that these are $4.98 for 10 and the 1/4" deep wells are still $23 for an 8 piece set.

That ratchet/adjustable wrench thing is on my Lowe's clearance table, don't think it's marked down at all though. I'm surprised those are made in Taiwan, I might have to pick them up. I have some Kobalt I bought for super cheap that are from China.

The adjustable wrench/ratchet combo seems like a bit of a gimmick. I haven't used it yet, but I guess it could be useful in a car toolkit where you might need that adjustable wrench in a pinch.

I bought the set mainly because the sockets and extension were a good deal at $9.99 and it also came with some useful bits.

For sure, for $10 I'd pick it up too! I haven't extensively used any of the Kobalt bits but I owned some for about a week(returned the quick release after I bought the Bosch version) and I was surprised by the quality. They seem really nice for the price. Does that extension have the dual purpose end where it fits 1/4" driver bits as well as the square ratchet?

Nope, it's a true 1/4" drive socket extension. 1/4" hex bits don't fit.

My local Lowes store is doing inventory this week. There is a high chance of clearance items the need to get rid of.

These are good bargain at $5 for circular saw . . . .would recommend.

I used and abused for cutting roof sheeting that included quite a few hidden nails/staples being cut with the blade. Cut right through the smaller nails no problem. Hit a couple 16 penny nails and those pretty much dulled the blade rendering it not useful. ;) Lucky I had spare Marathon blade and kept on working after swapping in new blade.

This was at Lowes Canada but I picked up two laser layout tools on clearance: a Johnson hot shot rotary laser and a Bosch GLL2-10 self leveling crosshair.
