That's about what that jigsaw is worth.

Yea I only grabbed it because I was in that particular store looking for a $3.60 Kobalt 8 pound sledge hammer, which wasn't there. On the positive side, the jigsaw already sold on eBay.. $15 profit after shipping lol.
I have a Bostitch jigsaw which has worked well for me so far, and one of the small Ridgid Fuegos which i'm getting rid of.

check your local prices on this. i'm only seeing 20% off around here, but it should drop cheap pretty soon, at least after Halloween

Last weekend when I bought the CS-330 saw, I also bought some of the pumpkin carving tools. Lady who checked me out was like well, that's a pretty aggressive way to carve a pumpkin, but I guess it will work.

Re: Putting an end to complaints about " Lowes employees stealing your orders"

Many people have been complaining about Lowes employees "stealing" their orders on discount merchandise. It's at the point that people here commonly make snide comments in other threads about not even bothering to place an order at Lowes "because the employees will just steal the orders anyway."

I had quite a few experiences where I had delivery failures on merchandise that I had ordered, all because my order was mysteriously cancelled by an anonymous party. I ended up having every one of these orders get filled. How did I do this? I took the time and made an effort to voice a legitimate complaint with someone who cared about the problem.

Many people have suggested that making complaints to store managers isn't helpful because store managers are part of the problem. Many people have suggested that making complaints to 800 Customer Care doesn't work because 800 CC always defers to the store manager.

I tried making reports to store management, and to 800 Customer Care. Sometimes the problems were resolved, sometimes they weren't. Recently I contacted Executive Customer Support (ECS) when my other efforts had failed. They addressed every one of my concerns promptly and professionally. In every case I was totally satisfied with the outcome. I can't say enough good things about the person at Lowes who I have been dealing with.

The kinds of complaints that people have been making here have now been voiced to Lowes executive management, and they're actively interested in hearing from customers who have had similar experiences so that they can take care of them. If you think that you've been treated unfairly, all that you need to do is to voice your concerns to the right people. In my experience Lowes cares about customers and they're willing to bend over backwards to help the customer in cases like these -- even when it amounts to going to extremes to maintain their company's reputation and goodwill with the customer.

As Spn mentioned previously, if you have a legitimate concern then you have to take the time file a complaint with the the right people. If you file a BBB complaint it will be handled by Lowes ECS. In my experience, directly contacting ECS has resulted in every one of my concerns being resolved. In my experience you don't need to drag the BBB into this, if you just contact the right people at Lowes they will take care of any problem that you have. But they can't take care of you if you don't bother to take the time to report a problem to them.

I've contacted them on several cases where legitimate orders were mysteriously cancelled. In each case ECS provided speedy resolution of the problem and the merchandise was delivered as ordered. Every time. Even if the store didn't have any stock, Lowes corporate did whatever was necessary to fill my order.

The good news is that Lowes cares about you as a customer, and if you report problems to the right people they will take care of you.

That was a well written letter. How does one go about contacting Executive Customer Support (ECS)?

That's about what that jigsaw is worth.

I've actually had REALLY good luck with that jigsaw. It's not a high-end woodworking saw, but I never do that type of work with a jigsaw so I haven't spent the money on a Bosch.

Haven't used it in a while as I have cordless saws now, but it sure came in handy... I'd definitely take another for <$10!

Question for Kneeman.... why junk up this forum with stupid comments:
Delete me? Okay, you have been deleted and ignored.
Why am I responding? Why am I responding?

Here it goes.

When you go to edit a post after you post it and realize you'd rather just delete the post there is no option to do that. So typing "delete me" is what a lot of people on forums do when they want people to just pass over your post and not waste their time.

Should I type a three sentence explanation of what happened? No.

I guess you're still mad I duplicated one of your 14 posts when I also posted about the stain deal at Lowes.

Got my 3rd online order for discounted items cancelled in like a month at this one particular store. They literally cancel less than 30min after placing the order, so you know damn well they aren't looking too hard for your items, or as some speculate, they are saving them for themselves.

Got home and politely called ECS. Lady said she would get a hold of the manager and give me a call back this afternoon. We'll see how that goes... She was very nice and repeatedly apologized for my inconvenience.

Bought all 4 line items: At one store they were marked @ their regular price and rang out @ the sale price: $38.88 out the door with vet discount [$2.78/tool]--not a bad deal for disposable tools considering all pieces had the padded grips with the adjustable wrenches being the exception. Thanks OP!! Stan

How would I know if a charger is **** or if it's the batteries? The Hitachi 12v impact display model isn't charging. Got 2 Li-Ion batteries and a charger, also tried another charger at the store. Both chargers, both batteries, same thing. Put in the battery and the light doesn't come on. I assume both batteries are drained because nothing happens in the impact. But, I put a meter on the batteries and bet 6 volts (negative to one of the 2 positive terminals).

The light on the charger should come on if it's charging. Maybe they're full and there is something wrong with the impact??

On he impact itself I get 98k ohms across + to - with the trigger squeezed, OL with the trigger released, so that's not a short. I don't know what the "LD" terminal is for, but I get no reading between that and the +/- terminals

Usually there is a light sequence on the charger that indicates what the issue might be. I know most of my stuff does anyway. If they are solid vs blinking etc.

So either it's both batteries that are bad, both chargers that are bad, or the impact.

I suppose I could try to warranty it since its "brand new"?

The batteries have lost their charge completely. You need to jump start them with a good battery. I used my dewalt 20v when the Hitachi kit I got had 3 stone dead batteries and nothing happened on the charger at all. Took two wires and connected them + to + and - to - a few times in a real quick sequence like second/half second at a time. Put them on the charger and they charger right back up.
