Nice! Hopefully, I could pick it up tomorrow. I wonder if it would fit in my explorer?

No, you don't want to lay it down or the oil will spill out. Box clearly states to keep it standing up, but the idiots at lowes decided to lay it down in the truck. Luckily it was only laying for a minute

You can lay it down if that's the only option, just be aware that like spn said, oil will leak. You'll need to let it sit upright for a while afterward to let the oil settle back and also check the oil level adding what's needed.

Stopped in to Lowe's today to find quite a bit of knives marked down. I normally don't buy multi tools but it's actually very nice. 5e42aea7437b45f274b935e5eb550ffe.jpgd720f9290623aed5a101c99567f63799.jpg

FYI, there's one of the DeWalt compressors in Dedham, MA. $234.

I just can't justify it with the household CFO, somebody go get it.

I've been looking through the package at that SOG the last few trips to Lowes. What does it look like out of the box? That's a good deal

Nice find! Saw Leatherman Rebar in store for $40, marked down from $60. Checked online and was same price. Used online coupon to get about 20% off the $40 too. Must be doing a multi tool price reduction maybe? Also picked up Kobalt tongue and groove plier set (3 sizes) for $10, marked down from $20.

Picked up the last compressor today at Lowes.

Just had to move my box's over and other a few other things in the garage.
Broke it in as instructed and going to wire it for 220, not too bad for the price.

Will be painting it next weekend and get rid of that yelllllllow color..

My old C.H. compressor was a 2hp 20 gallon horizontal and I was pushing my luck with it (tank was just starting to leak with some rust holes)I bought it back in 1974 (really) and used the hell out of it with no problems at all. Got my money 10 times over with it..

I will check later today, but why not call the store and have them put it on hold to pay when you pick it up? I was debating on getting a second one to resell for $500 :)

Bought this last week with a $20 off $100 coupon (added a $1 bolt) , nice set to keep in the truck. Everything is Taiwan. Wrenches are small though, only goes up to 13mm. Bottom drawer is empty so there's space to add those and some pliers.

Just FYI - this is not a $500 compressor. This is not the same as the one currently selling under this model number on the HD website. I would not expect to get, nor would I pay, $500 for this compressor. Note the difference in the two images. I believe this model is identical to an older Kobalt compressor that Lowes used to carry that I have. A picture of that unit can be found in this thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48848

Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but if someone planning on a road trip with the intention of reselling for $500, may want to think twice.

haven't looked at pa or de stores yet. found none in south jersey, besides every time I deal with blowes they say they can't find it, then the stock disappears.

You should check out https://bigskytool.com/ I get almost all of my Hitachi stuff from them reman. I always but the grade C which is supposed to be the worst looking stuff but all new internals and I have never gotten a tool that didn't look almost brand new.

I was just saying what I saw them being listed for all ready on the local CL,
might be a member here lol BTW they raised the price to $377 or at least that's what the stores with zero stock near me show. I don't think my stores ever stocked them, just the kobalt 30 gallon version.

I rarely resell or buy more then one of the HD or lowes deals unless a member asks me to grab one for them, I've done that twice. I thought he all ready bought that one and maybe hit a few stores near me looking , so I wouldn't waste time checking them, didn't mean anything by it other then a you ****. I am only looking for one to replace my pos crapsman, hell almost any oil compressor has to be better then that loud pos.

I have the Kobalt version of that air compressor in the CL ad. It is actually a nice unit. Keeps up with air tools, quiet, 155 PSI, etc. I had 150 feet of air hose ran into my back yard for the shed build. I have zero complaints.

I bought a few when Lowes knocked them back to $200ish. I sold the one for $400ish so mine was free.

Haha. No worries man. I just didn't want anyone to be fooled by the version with the same model number on the HD website. Different machine - but a good one nonetheless. I have the Kobalt version. And I won't knock the CL resale. If that guy can sell that one for $500 - more power to him. It's capitalism baby!
