Found 2 Pneumatic Nailer available per their online system for $5.79, placed the order. 10 mins later, I got a cancel phone call. Called Corporate office, she was able to look at their store inventory. Sold one out of two between the time my order was cancel and the phone call to corporate office. Tells me there is one more available. I was able to give her the name of the person who pulled my order. She talked to him.

Same thing happened to me

I'll share my secret in getting this set, Bostitch compressor and 3 nailer kit, model BTFP72646, item number 498816. This is for getting the display model only.

Check the model number on the back of the compressor that's set up for the new model compressor+3 nailer kit model BTFP3KIT. The box for the BTFP3KIT calls out compressor model number BTFP02012.
The compressor for the BTFP72646 kit is BTFP02011. If the display model is the 02011 model, it's the old one.

Find any young chick working a register or customer service and ask her to look up the item number 498816. They should show 1 in stock, and she can give you the current price. NEVER ask a guy to look up discount tools.

You may have to argue with the manager and get Lowes corporate on the phone to get it. I got 2 so far..$47 and I think $27.

If you can't find the display box for the old model in store to prove the compressor model number, Amazon's description lists it.

The 3 nailers are the same in both kits.

This all also holds true for the compressor/1 nailer kit. You can google the old model number and Lowes item number.

Got my 2 pin nailers delivered. Keeping one selling one. Currently $44 on eBay so should make a $30 profit off one. Also, my Dewalt rotary hammer replacement handle was delivered to the neighbor yesterday, she brought it over today. The claim is still in with UPS though. If UPS pays a claim, do they pay it to the sender or receiver?

Shipper gets paid by ups for the claim and whoever's shipping number was used will get the credit for the shipping applied to their account.

Nice price on a retractable reel. With a filler and the $10 off of $50 code, ends up around $40.

Several postings have been about contacting ECS " lowes corporate". How do you contact them? I placed an order for 2 clearance drills ( showed 3 in stock) this morning at 5:30 am. Never received a call or ready to pickup. 4 hours later
i called the store. Young kid says we never pulled your order. Let me go check.
5 minutes later he tells me we only have the display. Contacted a mgr. He investigated. Calls me back, Tells me 2 were sold at the register between the time I placed the order and the time I called ! They failed to pull my order, then sold them from underneath me and canceled my order.

How is the quality of that reel? Interested in picking one up but not sure how that would compare to say the retractable reel offered at Harbor Freight...

Lame. So what did the manager tell you he was going to do about it?

*THAT* is exactly the kind of problem that I've complained about on several occasions, and it's exactly the kind of problem that Lowes ECS will take care of.

If you have an order that goes unacknowledged, it's probably because somebody ignoring it. I've had several cases where I've ordered something, and gotten no response whatsoever out of the store about filling my order. Then I see that the inventory gets depleted while my order was ignored. Obviously somebody was turning a blind eye to a legitimate order while they performed an illegitimate sale.

If you have documentation that shows this happened, then you really need to call Lowes ECS. I posted the name, address and phone number of the person at Lowes who wanted to help us quite some time ago, but the post got deleted and I got banned. So you'll have to do what I did -- call Lowes corporate and work your way through the telephone system until you find the right people.

I've had one for a number of years. Tossed the original hose for another one. It still works but never retracted all the way up after putting on the new hose (same length).

I've been searching for a used Reelcraft or like manufacturer reel but haven't yet found one for a fair price.

The Kobalt one isn't bad for $40.

I am starting to think the best way to buy is to actually visit the store after you scout it out on line

The mgr. basically told me he can't undo what had already been done. No apology whatsoever. Called CS , they tried to get the mgr. at another store to sell them to me at the price I paid. He declined. She then called the mgr. from the offending store and said he was going to get the items transferred to his store and would call me when they come in.I'm not holding my breathe.

I NEVER would have done that. What you did only exposes you the risk of being defrauded by an unscrupulous employee.

At the risk of stating the obvious, it's a dangerous game to let store employees know about killer deals before you consummate the purchase transaction. I would never try to contact them to work out details before consummating the sale. Always buy immediately so it's yours, then work out the details once it's been sold. If you can't work things out Lowes will always let you cancel the order AFTER you buy it.

:bigun2: Shoot first, ask questions later.

Once you have a sale written up there exists a paper trail to incriminate anyone who tries to cheat you by stealing the merchandise out from under you. If you never bought the merchandise and they scarfed it up while you hesitated, then nobody did anything wrong.

FWIW I have a Dewalt AC that's sitting in will-call for me until I go to fetch it some time next week. :3gears:
I have the purchase receipt and I have recorded calls where the CS people in the store confirmed that it's under lock and key in the original unopened Dewalt box with my name on it. Today I had them move it from the front of the store back to receiving so it will be out of the path of foot traffic over the weekend. If it disappears before I get there then somebody's going to be collecting unemployment.

Its being handled by CS, Had to go threw three stores to find one, First store showed no stock but had a display I asked for them to hold it since it was a hour away. It was gone when I got there so I called CS. They located one but the second store was seeing if it could be transferred since it was 3 states away and needed to talk to receiving. Some how both sold right after customer service contacted them. Now we are on to the third store, My store manager is aware of it but its handled by the tool department manager, he would not take payment until they get it to there store so that has me skeptical.

I couldn't place an online order since they showed no stock. customer service is well aware of it, so if it ends up missing someone will get an *** chewing from them and a size 16 up there *** from me. BTW there was less then 100 of them in there system so I am not joking around with this one.

Let's get back to the deal talk, please and thank you.

Then why not help and post some deals? In your 37 posts you haven't posted one yet. All you have done is ask for skus, weights and help finding one. Then you complain. Some related discussions about deal items can be quite helpful to some people.

42210 Model TM860SCUGEN
GE 4 space generator power input box
$38.27

I don't know what full retail is. It's saying 33% off from $57, but I don't think that's right. I think $57 was another markdown.
Home Depot is showing it for $150

30 to 45% off a lot of dryers. Do a search for "dryer" then click the "in stock" tab, then sort by price high to low

Same with washers

Ovens also. I guess all appliances

for the guys complaining, Its lowes 95% of the deals can be found on their website for your own local store, and checking near by stores. Search what you are looking for, click high to low since it sorts by retail not the discounted price and look for a green % off to see if its a deal, I tend to ignore stuff that has a "new price" tag next to it.. The rest is walking the store. Lowes is easy since it tracks inventory on the website and lets your search the prices in your local stores unlike HD where you need to go to the that store.

Got one. Still one left on the shelf in Rochester and supposedly 2 more somewhere. This was in the electrical section by the breaker boxes. They also have the tag on the shelf in outdoor power equipment by the generators but there were none there.

I went in yesterday looking for this, nowhere to be found. Today I go in and ask about it again, old guy says it's probably gone. I noticed a Dewalt set under the hardware counter desk and asked if that was it, he said no it's something else. After he walked away, I took a peek and sure as ****, that was it.
