Found these two while shopping in Jersey City. Yet yesterday I checked the site and it was 0 inventory. They have a display model for same price without a charger. DDS181 said 7 online, 8 in store.

I stopped by Lowes this afternoon and I was surprised by the amount of Stanley tools they are now stocking.

Newest Lowes print ad today that came with newspaper has entire front page fold-out with . .
. . . . Black & Decker power tools . . . ??? :dunno:

Inside page one full of DeWalt power tools. No screaming deals that I'd want.

Probably just as cheap as the blue hawk stuff they had and better quality (economy of scale, Stanley is sold almost everywhere).

Or they get a better deal the more Stanley Black and Decker brands they sell (Currently have Black and Decker, Porter Cable, Dewalt, Bostitch, and now Stanely, maybe even some more brands!)

seeing as Stanley used to supply HD for most of its hand tools, and now its apex it make sense that they put in a bid to lowes. Lets see if they start making the newest kobalt stuff when the contract on that runs out.

My oldest step-son found out about my Bosch impact last night. He's a mechanic and thought it was something he could really use. When he found out that it wouldn't show up on the website after trying everything he could (I'd already told him they'd taken it off, but hey, what do I know right?). He went and checked our local store and it was still full price. He was madder than a wet hornet that he couldn't do it online, and wasn't about to go store to store looking.

I did try to register it for warranty last night. Got a message that because of the purchase date I'd need to call them to register it. Was late so didn't call, and going out of town today so will have to do it when I get back. Now if they'd just mark down the batteries....

Not a hot buy yet, but the prices are just starting to fall on the NWS-made Irwin Pistol Grip pliers:

http://www.lowes.com/pd_480872-281-...1014&Ntt=irwin+pliers&langId=-1&storeId=10151

Down to $32 by me. In the past, the other NWS stuff has gone from $40 to $32 to $23 to $12 to $6 around me. So hopefully this is the start of the markdown cycle!

Nice! It's $32 at one store by me, the rest are $40. Stock looks fairly limited at most places. Need the rest of GJ to resist purchasing until we get a bit lower!

I don't think that I have ever seen stock above 6 in any store. Most only have two or three. I was able to snag three pairs of the diagonal cutters for $6 in September. Great Christmas presents. I have wanted these ones though too.

So when you guys find these Bosch impacts, do they have the 2.0 Ah battery that the web site says they're supposed to have, or the 1.5 Ah battery that nobody wants?
I noticed none of the Bosch batteries were in the correct display drills, impacts etc. at a store.

They put a sticker with the item number of the tool on the batteries. The 1.5 and 2.0 were all mixed up on the tools.

I was able to locate two 2.0 amp batteries, one on display and one up top by the charger in a clear container. The charger had the correct sticker on it.

Amazon shows the ids181-102 two different ways. One says two 1.5 batteries in the title and description. The other says two 2.0 batteries but in the description it says one 2.0

Bosch site says two 2.0

CPO says one 2.0

Walmart says one 2.0

Zoro says two 1.5

Zoro is always the least accurate in their descriptions.
Walmart is probably CPO through Walmart, so count those as one.
