I noticed that on this item also 2 weeks ago. In store much cheaper than listed on website.

Also, I've recently seen many clearance items still in store, but completely gone from the website, some from last year. The yellow tags sit at the last price reached, but drop no more. I've even seen a store retag a clearance item that sat for a couple months with a 'new' higher than before priced yellow tag, with a fake "previous price" even higher than it was originally to make the deal look nice- and it sold. I was waiting for one more drop, and it went back up, even though it was out of the system. It's annoying that once its discontinued and pulled from the website, it stops dropping in price anymore, even if it's only 25 or 50% off the original price. Never gets to 75%. Just sits there. Strange goings on in some stores. I think Lowes managers must have some control at store level that's fairly flexible, as i talked with a manager one day while browsing a clearance bin, and she said "let me know if you see something, I'll make you a deal". I pulled a couple things, she wrote out hand tags for like 60% off the clearance price and said "we want to move stuff and not have it sitting around". Yet, most of the time if i ask, i get the "are you crazy or sumthin" look like I'm trying to rob them. ;-) I've had more than one department manager at Home Depot tell me they have a $50 per day ability to adjust a price for "customer loyalty" or something like that.

noticed that a lot as well. There is one exception though.. the Dualsaw reciprocating saw. Been off the website for like the past year, but just started dropping in price about a month ago.
