Just got around to using those cheap Utilitech LED bulbs from last year, the ones with like 1/10th the life expectancy of a normal LED bulb. Good grief, they are garbage.

First one I tried, it flickers. Threw it out. 2nd one has about a 2 second delay before it turns on. Tried a 3rd in another light, also flickers.

finally, they added the "available for store pickup" option back on the site.. now you can check your store's inventory again without having to scroll through all of the internet-only stuff.

Just something to keep an eye on....When you click the in-store option, it doesn't always show everything that's actually in stock. I noticed certain types of lumber and hardiplank not showing up when i hit in-store but it is in stock when I click on it.

Also the slideshow items that show up at the bottom of each product page sometimes show clearance that are invisible on the searches. I'm not sure I'm explaining that right but I always keep an eye on their suggestions because occasionally I'll see a 70%+ off item.

I needed some rustoleum paint to touch up some metal in my carport. Every color was $9.63 a quart except one, aluminum. The aluminum color was 96 cents. WTF? I took it up to the register, it rang up at 96 cents, so I bought a couple more.

Kind of odd, the shelf tag was not marked clearance, it just showed 96 cents as the regular price.

blue hawk 0.3-hp 2-gallon 125-psi 120-volt twin stack portable electric air compressor
$20.83
http://www.lowes.com/pd/Blue-Hawk-0...ack-Portable-Electric-Air-Compressor/50041084

I got one just for the wife to use to blow up inflatables and the kiddy pool. Don't want her touching my Ridgid. This thing is very quiet. Comes with a combination nailer/stapler.

Nothing great, and I wouldn't try to flip these either, you'll just end up with complaints. But if you need a cheap inflater, can't beat this.

Awesome. :thumbup: They had one for $30 at one of my local Lowes. Their inventory said they had four, but they could only find one. The box was beat to hell so they knocked another 10% off. It'll be good for minor use in my basement workshop.

Hmm. That shows $119 here.

Edit: it seems you need to bounce from store to store. I found it for $41 at another local store.

Lockers look nice. Just an FYI though, if you have no team affiliation, some of the lockers are on sale at Walmart, as low as $66.

Sticker price on the Gladiator lockers direct from the manufacturer is $79.99, not $269. Another case of over priced to look like a good deal, other than Walmart has a few for $66.

I hit Costco yesterday and the bins they have on sale are nothing like these. Yes, they're yellow and black, but only 17 gallon unlike the 27 gallon at Lowes. They were also very flimsy compared to the Lowes 27 gallon bins.

Here's what it looks like and the receipt.

I hit Costco yesterday and did not see the 27" bins so everything else I am saying is pointless.

Fixed that for you, many here have bought the 27's at Costco, I have about two dozen of each (HD and Costco). The Costco tub lids fit better and have held up better over the last 6 months.

Off topic a bit, but I was debating what to use to organize my wrenches. Ended up settling for the Kobalt wrench rails, item number 516039.
I think they were like $6 or $7 for a pair of rails. They cut to size easily with a hacksaw. I know, I need to re-label my drawers.
I could probably cut this down to 2 drawers if I had a 52".

DEWALT Aluminum Saw Horse with Miter Saw Brackets
Item # 349298
Model # DWX725B
Regular Price: $99
Priced as low as ~$25?

I picked up a pair of these priced at $49 each. I used a $15 off $50 coupon to bring that down to $35 each. If your store has it in stock for $25, you could score a pair for $35 :eyecrazy:

Now I ask all of you to use your powers of persuasion to convince me / explain to me why I need this pair of very nice sawhorses.

I was planning on using the sawhorses to create a large worktable in my carport for woodworking, but found a simple folding table (costco) is even smaller, holds the same amount of weight, and is even less expensive. So what can I do with these sawhorses that I can't do with a large table?

I don't have a miter saw yet, but when I get one it would make more sense to simply use it on a worktable since I don't need jobsite portability.

Is that back on the website as well? That fell off a while ago. The Portamate wood racks are back on the website also, as low as $4 to $7.

They call it a sawhorse now? lol. It was called a mini miter saw stand. I have it and it holds my 12" Dewalt perfectly. The downside to these is there are no extensions for it, so plan on buying one or 2 roller stands or the Ridgid flip top stand to use as an extension.

Do they sell separate extensions to hold long stock like normal miter saw stands? It'd be worthless with nothing to support longer pieces.

Various Eaton (Cooper) receptacles and switches on clearance. As usual YMMV. Few highlights:

* 10-pack of "spec grade" made in USA backwire 15A, $4.29 reg $17.17 #24356
* Individual spec grade made in USA backwire receptacles $.50-$.70
* 15A self-test GFCI, $3.49 reg $13.97 #752058
* 20A self-test GFCI, $3.99 reg $15.98 #752063

I specifically look for backwire Made in USA outlets. The GFCIs of course are not.
