I
My only beef is the crappy air regulator but it's not a big deal.
I haven't really looked at the regulator on mine, but what makes it crappy?
Or what makes a good regulator?

Well I went to my local Northern Tool and they had one of these Morgan RE30 Reconditioned compressors back in the warehouse. They brought it out from the warehouse and my friend and I looked it over. It had obviously been painted black, but otherwise looked brand new. I decided it was more compressor then I needed, but what-the-hell I went ahead and purchased it for $280.
Determined to figure out who actually made this unit, I started my search. First-off other then Ingersoll-Rand, no one actually makes the compressor that is on the label. In this case after searching I found that what I had purchased was a blacked out Kobalt KLA1683066. Theses Kobalt compressors were made for Lowe's exclusively from about 2005 until the end of 2008 by Sanborn or Coleman Powermate, which is wholely owned by MAT Industries. They sold for $500, and then went on closeout for $400 near the end or 2008. The actual compressor pump is made by Laplante Compressor, and uses the LPV5145 Compressor Pump.
I am very happy with my new addition to my garage.
Hey now! I did that! Sold one for $350.00 and kept one for myself.
I found out that their purchase price is $379 (on the older model). One of the managers told me no way he would price match to the $183 when his price was $379.
Okay, so is the 1.6HP "short" version (with v-twin cylinder compressor) the new style, or the old style? That is, compared to the 2.0HP taller version?
The few local Lowe's out here only seem to be stocking the 1.6HP version. But $459 is the price. I missed out on their $399 price from the weekend before last. Anyone know who has a good price on them?
I saw this earlier, but didn't really put it together until now.
Is the $299 Morgan compressor (reconditioned) at Northern the same as the Lowes compressor?
At the Miata Boards
If this is the exact same compressor, it most certainly works on 15 amps, and not limited to 20.

Might be something to consider for people who missed out.
