This thread has become useless. Lots of people posting prices without reference to product.

Unless you're prepared to read all 23 pages for context, there's no way to tell what they're talking about.

I say back to individual posts for sales on individual items. I'm done with this thread.

Sounds like somebody didn't get an 18" aluminum pipe wrench in their stocking for Christmas...

Noticed my local Lowe's had the 34pc wrench set marked down to $24.99 today and picked up some electrical tape for $.23 a roll. It's cheap stuff, but couldn't pass it up for $.23.

How are those Aluminum pipe wrenches when you put some Ummmffff behind them. Do they bend?

Not sure about the Kobalt ones, but we've already had two guys hang off of a 4' Ridgid aluminum at work with no problems whatsoever. The only thing I would recommend again did using a cheater bar with one, but in all honesty the same goes for steel. They are much lighter and nicer to use though.

The real lesson I have learned from the Lowe's/Knipex fire sale is that Lowe's is rubbish at inventory control.

Nice find, Basskiller. So many people got so many good deals, but it amazes me that they're still out there.

my experience with the aluminum pipe wrench is they can take more then u can give them, up to about a 4 foot cheater. i keep aluminum up to 18inch figure if i need more wrench i will have to carry the extra weight because i will most likely need the extra strength.

Lincoln electric port-a-torch kit = $239

Some local stores still show this at the normal $299, but some also show it at $239. Try changing your store if it shows $299

I've been watching this set since the dropped the price to $270. I just scored one for $200. I asked the guy in the tools dept. if he could do 200 and he agreed. I know the tanks are small but for occasional use I am sure they will be fine.

Nice! Is this Dewalt kit what you grabbed? If so, none around me.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but I can't use the search function on my phone....

Lowe's has placed ALL of their incandescent light bulbs on clearance, along with a bunch of the LED bulbs at least in my store.
Out with the old..

I noticed something along these lines. My local Lowes has a ridiculously oversize pallet of Sylvania 60 watt bulbs in cartons of 16. Prominently positioned in the middle of the electrical section. USA made, $7.98 per carton. Far more stock than any store would normally have, so my assumption is Lowes might have anticipated a run on them ahead of the ban, or Sylvania is stuffing as many out the factory door before today (January 1 ban in effect). I bought 3 cartons; if you look around incandescent prices already seem to be rising.

Its now 2014, but i guess this thread is still relevant.

I stopped by my local store and they had several bosch drill bits on an end rack on clearance. They had several bosch quick-change hole saw mandrels (orig $18) marked at $3. I picked up a few 7pc. hex bit tip sets for $1ea. (orig $5). YMMV

Post a new thread.

2013 is over and no one wants to weed through 24 pages to find the deals. JMHO

Just skip to page 24. I'd rather see it all on one thread. Obviously the early pages are older deals and you can search within the thread if you're looking for something specific.

Just picked this up yesterday. You never know what you will find. New ones open to 1 5/8 and go for 15.00 This is the older style that opens to 1 1/2.

Scored a IR impact and ratchet set for $78.00. Item 221131. It was marked to $98 but it was the floor model. The guy said he could do 10% off that price, but was unable to find the case and standard 6pc socket set. Not a bad deal at $78. Most places around here have it listed for $109 still.

IR model 231G and 170G.

That is a smoking deal, had I seen that I probably wouldn't have ordered the rebuild kit for my 29yr old IR-231. Actually I probably still would have ordered the rebuild kit, this impact has never failed me one time.

Good to hear. I've read a lot of good reviews on it so I'm hoping that will continue with me. I thought about just waiting to get it, but thought someone else would ****** it up before I did.

Next on the list will probably be the IR impact hammer and some metric 1/2" sockets.

Yeah, that's pricing shenanigans. The price has never been $98. It was originally $50. They're the Black Friday Chinese special; a non-stock item.

Even at $25, they're not flying off the shelf. I keep watching for the next drop. For <$20, I'll buy a set.
