Okay, my order showed up today. Duckbills not bad for the $5 I paid. Spark plug sockets w/ T-Handle is very nice. Made in Taiwan and very nice for the price. LED lighted pick up tool is okay, made in USA, but it took a bit of tweaking to get it to light reliably. The cutters I ordered were cancelled and the groove lock pliers are on backorder. Overall, I'dsay that I am satisfied with the deals I got.

duckbills showed up today...not too bad for $5, but very poor point alignment. seconds at best, even for MAC. MAC customer support told me the "replacement" for the duckbill is $29.95..still made overseas, was thought to be similar quality, I declined. Good decision for me.

Cutters cancelled.

the made in taiwan part threw me off a tad because i was kinda expecting usa... glad i stayed on the fence while the set was $38 though i would have been rather pissed if i bought it and then it dropped

Got my duckbills today. As others have stated, they are absolute ****. Someone compared them to Harbor Freight pliers...I wouldn't insult Harbor Freight like that. These are much worse. Laughing my **** off at the guy who said he ordered 30 pairs to resell. Haha, good luck with that!

I'm satisfied with the duckbills. I don't need perfection. But mine weren't as bad as that one photo for sure.

The lighted pickup tool is nice. USA made, global components. I ordered 3 more.

Got my duckbills today, alignment is just fine! Couldn't be happier for the price unless they were USA. Even HF are more than $5!

Got my duckbills today. Alignment is off by a hair, but otherwise look good. We'll see how they hold up, but overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.

I got 2 pairs of the duckbills. One isn't too bad, but one is pretty damn horrible. I'd hate to be a "premier" tool company and have my name on them.

For $5 my duck bills look ok. My long side cutters didn't show up.

Same here. For $5, I'm not complaining....mine are actually pretty nice other than the cheesy 'spring'.

I already have a couple long side cutters...so I didn't need those anyways :)

At $5, I'd say I'm shocked at the bitching, but this is the GJ Hot Deals crowd...:wtf:

I always hate this argument. Price is no justification to not advertise the quality of the tools, especially when they have a name that you think would have decent tools. If they are seconds or defective for other reasons, they should be advertised that way so we can make an educated decision.

Its ridiculous isnt it? I dont think they even charged for shipping, so these are practically free.

Anyway, I ordered the long cutters, the tongue & groove pliers, and the duck bills. As with the others, the cutters were cancelled, the pliers backordered and I only got the 2 duck bills I ordered. These things are far from precision tools, but they will do for a cheap pair of pliers.

I just cant fathom anyone complaining about these for the price. Or expecting, US made, high end pliers for basically free.

My tongue & groove and duckbills arrived today. I think I got lucky because they seem ok, jaws line up and don't look too bad...for ChiCom stuff.

I checked out the brake tool. Seems sturdy made in Taiwan. Everything else made by ChiComs. My duck bills are fine, they line up nice. Groove pliers and extended pliers are mediocre quality.

Just got my duckbills and tongue and groove. To be honest, these things feel like HDX or Blue Hawk quality.

Tongue and Groove has about a 1/16" overbite. Duckbills have a very minor skew. Overall I'm happy, especially with the price.

I agree, though, if I were in charge of a big name company like MAC, I wouldn't want my name on them. It's almost like there were made for Stanley's budget line and miss-printed with Mac

My duckbills are not worthy of HF name. My first pair of hose pliers - is this bend suppose to be here?

Got mine today. Everything lines and no defects. I'm satisfied for the price but had low expectations after seeing everyone else's. When I initially ordered them, I expected them to be on par with Craftsman pliers made by in the USA by Western Forge but they clearly are not. When I compare my 12" Craftsman tongue and groove, it's almost comical how much better constructed the Craftsman is. These are the first MAC tools I have ever purchased and am not impressed.

Sorry, but isn't the obsession over the serrations lining up kind of pointless. Ya know, when you are grabbing something that these teeth will not ever touch? You know this, right?

I love my duck bills for 5 bucks shipped! Love them. However, I do feel that the MAC tools name on my other stuff has been slightly cheapened. MAC is not the same MAC as it was.

I got my Mac duckbills as well and they do seem kinda crappy. I agree with spn that they feel more like something HDX branded. Also I don't know if it's just like... shipping oil or something but mine do not move very easily. They're very sticky. Also the spring isn't really lined up and as you squeeze rather than resisting you it just bends out to the side. Still for 5$ I can't be too upset. I guess if they ever end up saving the day once they were more than worth it.

I'm happy with mine also. I'm not impressed, but I am just hoping they do not twist like the needle nose long reach ones I have from Harbor Freight.

I just got the Slip Joint Pliers in and the Hose Pliers, rest of the stuff I ordered did not come in.

MAC TOOLS SHOULD JUST CLOSE DOWN.

I paid Chinese prices, so I am not to upset. I opened up the box and the tag fell right off. THE SLIP JOINTS LOOK AND FEEL CHEAP. The pliers feel decent. Either way I re-sold them for a profit as I have ZERO interest in having any of that **** in my box. MAc tool truck has evolved into a mobile HF. The idiot who decided to stem Matco off of Mac just ruined the 2 brands. Should just merge and become one dominant company!

Glad our Mac tool truck driver was kicked out of our shop many years before I started!

That curve is actually a patented MAC two part design feature. First, it prevents rain from puddling up on top of the pliers (causing surface rust) when you are working outside in the weather. Secondly, if you accidentally leave the pliers out in the weather for a few days the curve prevents you from leaving a rust outline behind (on the work surface) when you pick the pliers up.

lol... that makes sense cause I was actually thinking of throwing them outside..:lol_hitti

Got my duckbills in yesterday. Overall, they were ok.

Going to keep one pair in the tacklebox. You just never know how far down the stomach a fish can swollow your lure. :)
