Took down the flags and banner and hung up some of what I like to call wall art. I'm still on the fence about the photos by the Audi logo.

Looks great! Awesome mix of hangout and parking stable.

Thanks Dubber! What you don't see is the front of the garage where storage bins are stacked up! I'll try to get to that next week.

so much spent on cabinets, wall art and Audis, but no spare change for mudding the walls. hhhmmm

I knew I forgot something. Now I have to take everything down and start over. And to think I was actually feeling good about myself.

How do you like the quality of the New Age cabinets? Vs. metal stuff from Gladiator?

I like the quality with the exception of how they were packed. Some pieces either got scratched or dented during shipping. Nothing too major though. I was thinking of getting the Gladiator until I came across the New Age. I liked that they had different finish options. I especially like the top cabinets that open upward instead of the usual swing out doors. Time will tell how they hold up but overall I'm very happy with them.

Max: everything is looking pretty awesome. never mind the picky poster that forgets that it's a GARAGE. it's come a long way in a very short period of time and i like the pictures on each side of the Audi.

i'm guessing you like it and i'm sure your real friends will be impressed. just don't take the after bar drinking out in one of those fast cars.

cheers

Thank you kind sir and I love it. I get a big smile on my face when I enter the garage. And as far as the bar and cars....That is why the bar is here....I never have to leave!

Thanks for the review.. I've never actually seen New Age live... what is it made of? Metals or wood based?

Great response

I had not seen them in person either but decided to take a chance. They are all steel based. I will post more pics and details of the cabinets once I get all my tools and stuff stored away...or check out their web site. If anyone is interested in getting them, i'd shop around the various vendors as the prices vary..a lot.

I agree. I have the same issue. Maybe someday I will have the money and extra cash to properly finish my walls, but for now, it is painted and looks presentable.

To me, your garage looks great.

Thanks Gary. I too would like to have done that but it wasn't on my must have list. Maybe if I change things around in the future, I might do it.

You are driving a bagged Audi and spent hundred on new cabinets that were nicer than gladiator cause you wanted prettier colors....but about $50 bux on a bucket of mud to fill some holes is not on your list. Wonder which one of your projects has also been short changed along the road.

Well you got me. I didn't want to pay for the mounting brackets for the air suspension so I used zip ties and duct tape. You are good!

I'll post some in a bit but yeah it's nice having a pool. The wife is happy with the garage but she is no longer allowed... She keeps harping about me not mudding the walls.

Thank you! I spent the day looking for where I packed the rest of my tools from the move. At least I found half of them. :willy_nil

I have. In fact one of the neighbors came over yesterday and told me he wished he had painted his garage before moving in. I think most people know its still a garage and don't notice such things.

Right now I'm just trying to organize all the cabinets and put things where they belong. There are some other projects I will get to later. I still haven't ordered the new garage doors yet. I need to get on that!

First no mud, then this?! I don't know if I'll ever be able to read another Garage Gallery story! What is this world coming to?! ;) Mud or no mud, I'm still jealous!

Hey Maximum, killer setup and color scheme! Question, is your wife's Q5 wrapped? I apologize if you have already answered that previously. That thing is sick!

Nice setup Maximum, also love Audi's!
Btw, i like the attention to detail such as the slop sink. What kind of paint did you use? Looks like you brushed it? Hows it holding up?
Also, have a website for where you got those sweet cabinets??

Thanks Jeepman! Yes I originally painted the sink with a brush to just get rid of the white dingy look. I was also thinking about painting it blue but I thought that would be too much. It's help up ok but I had to spray some of the areas that have worn.

The cabinets are from newageproducts.com. They have a link that that gives you store options to buy from. Shop the different stores as prices vary a lot. I got mine from overstock.com for half the price of the other vendors.

I had a chance to finally use the garage for a small project on the S4. I was worried that the lounge portion of the garage would take up too much room. I had originally designed the lounge to be entirely up against the wall instead of its current configuration. A simple move of some of the furniture allowed for plenty of room for small projects. Larger project will probably require moving one of the cars outside.

/\ That last shot! So how does it feel in there? Solid transformation you have made.

It feels great. Better than my old garage where I had to pull out the one car in the garage to work on another. I do wish I had another place for the man-cave because a lift in the single car bay would have been awesome!

A lot of stuff is in my office, which I really haven't touched since I moved. Looks like a bomb went off in there. That and I threw a lot of stuff away or put it up in the overhead storage. I still need to organize and put everything in its home but overall, I'm very happy with how its coming...One day i'll get to my office :lol_hitti

Nice 'man cave area' i realy, realy like It!

Thank you!

If you have clearance issues with the jackshaft opener, they do make a model that has a gear setup that allows you to mount it slightly offset from the traditional mounting location.

This isn't my picture, but the one I had in my last house had to be set up this way due to clearance issues, but it worked fantastic.

Thanks AP2TUDE! That would fit perfectly. I figured there had to be an alternative.
