Despite all of the warnings and concerns from some experts about my installation failing, my car has now been on my MaxJax non-stop for just over two years.

Maybe it'll fail in the third year. ;)

Awesome thread!! Wish I found it before my MaxJax install. I would have done it the same way you did. I love the plate you made up. Awesome 993. I have a 997 turbo. Love these cars.

N. American Auto Equip. Universalift 2 install w/Porsche 993

A big shout-out to thread OP Alex and others assisting with the way forward strengthening concrete (home) garage slabs. Great supportive input from the Garage Journal peanut gallery...

Recently having taken delivery of a model Universalift 2 two post lift/hoist from N. American Auto Equipment its install time. Ordering was the easy part, its now install time.
Our garage ceiling height of 114" does limit using the lifts 72" raise height potential ....Outside though, two exterior constructed pads will allow for any full height projects where needed, that and much needed seasonal undercarriage cleaning. The models 95" post height, 30min tear - down set up makes for declared portability; A BIG plus. (A hand cart ala 52"h w/8" wheels is used when relocating the posts)

How's it holding up? Just fine I'd imagine.

Just fine. I have to check the date of installation. Does time ever fly. It must be 10 years now.

I just wish my garage were much larger and my home much smaller. I'd sooner have a huge garage and just live above it.

I've added a BendPak QuickJack to the Dannmar MaxJax, the latter that I have had for over a decade and hasn't failed me yet. I wanted something I could use in my driveway, therefore the QuickJack

No point in talking about the QuickJack as there is plenty of info on-line but I did make a mounting system that is overkill and there was no need to lift them onto the QuickJack hooks. Besides for no money and for materials I already had from previous jobs, I made my own mounts. No chance of anything falling over onto my sports car.
