New Christmas Catalog sale is out starting today. LOTS of really good deals in there. For the car set, Performax Taiwan SAE or Metric wrench sets, two for $10. That is really a good deal. Other stuff too. List what catches your eye as a good deal and post for others to think about. - Paul

Thank you just cleared out two stores. 03d527e3c5fef37c65ab56364525c57b.jpg

If you use them a lot, it's a steal. They had a bunch of Dewalt 7" cut off wheels for .99 around Labor Day. My store said 16 of the 4 1/2 wheels.. Only found 3 so I went home and ordered 8 for p/u. We looked around for the other 13 but no luck

So I ended up in Menards today to get some Aluminum I needed and found out those Performax wrenches are actually made in India now, no longer Taiwan! Appearance of them wasn't bad, but I chose not to get them until someone can vouch for the quality here and function. - Paul

When the 7" ones went on sale I bought all of them lol. I will say to anyone that is looking for anything dewalt at menards make sure they actually check other boxes overhead. When I bought the flap discs and when I bought the 7" discs they were mislabeled with a store inventory sheet over them. Took about 25 minutes to find them

The 3-day sale ad is out. Lots of stuff! Free HDMI cables (MIR), $30 for a locking 12-3 100' extension cord, 35% off Raco steel boxes, etc.

Looks like Chamberlain chain drive garage door openers are $99 after rebate, that seems like a pretty hot deal. Anybody have any better price than that for a nice 1/2 hp opener?

My experience with finding a clearance item is the computers at Menards will show the aisle it is stocked in. I was looking for a seasonal item and the computer said it was in a certain aisle. It sure was, but it was up on the overhead. Probably won't work all the time as I am sure stuff gets moved and not changed in the computer.

Anyone see the 72" montezuma bottom tool box for 499? I'm too far east.. do you think they would ship it?

Very doubtful. It is one of their Six Hour Door Busters items. Their doors open at 6:00. They'll be sold out by 6:05. To get one, you would need to be in line around 4:00 am.

Only one on there is a 36".

They have a 72" stainless "work center" for $499 in their Black Friday ad. I was in Menards today looking for it - they don't have a display model and the hardware gal said they don't plan on setting one out early..... While tempting, I can't bring myself to buying one sight unseen.

One thing I can recommend for everyone here right now. On sale for $15 is the heavy duty reciprocating saw blade sets from Morse, US made and very high quality. Morse offered some free single blades to folks last year and I was impressed with mine then. Had to get one of these sets on sale. Great blades. - Paul

So the Menard's BF ad for me was not too great this year. But they just put out a 3 day ad, in addition to the 6 hour BF and 2 day BF ads, and the 3 day has a few great deals. 100 foot 12/3 extension cord for less than $30! Free after rebate grime boss wipes for cleaning up your tender and shapely mechanic hands with when they get a little dirty! (Yes, I got two packs). Trailer jack wheels for $10 each, good to put on your otherwise unmovable workshop table to move it around with two of them only when you want to but stable otherwise. Check it out. Also they had those camo trapper parka hats that are really great for the cold coming up. Warmest hat I've ever had. AND Mechanics Wear heavy duty gloves on sale for like $13. I have other work gloves but once I put these on, I HAD to have a pair. Really comfortable and tough. Some good stuff. - Paul

My only Menard's pick up today was a Keter folding work table as I saw these at Northern Tool and was waiting for a good sale... and the $39 Menards price today sealed the deal. This is the exact same model that sells at NT for $69. I just set it up and I am very impressed with the design. They had a pellet full them at my local store and the price is good through 11/30.

Went to Menard to get some macaroon cookies and noticed they had the entire line of Knipex on sale.10" Cobras were $25 which is the same price I paid at Ace after using the 50 off coupon.

Also anyone have experience with the bostitch flex combo wrenches? . I was looking for some cheap trunk wrenches and was wondering if anyone had used them.

Just a heads up - Zoro regular price on the 10" pliers wrenches is VERY close to Menards regular price. With a 20-30% tomorrow they'll kill Menards. Not sure if that's true for the other lines... I just want to get 2 12" plier wrenches as Menards doesn't carry them.

I noticed today a number of new sales and deals at Menards. Several low dollar things after rebate. Kind of have to look yourself, but I got a couple miter saw stand masterforce table tops for $15 each. Good for swapping bench tools on and off the miter saw stand fast if you don't have much space like me. A number of other deals. Post what catches your eye for others to consider. - Paul

Surprised to see (USA) Vaughn 10" nail puller for $7.99 on sale tonight - grabbed one as normally $15 and I've never seen them on sale before. Also the Wilde 3 pc set again $14.99 if you missed previously - heck of a deal. Other Wilde stuff slightly marked down. China made metal tool/screwdriver holders and paper towel holders - both magnetic for tool box sides were $4.99 instead of $9.99.

I don't remember seeing any of these in ad recently, but then again I haven't looked hard.

I was just at Menards today and I don't think that Wilde set was on sale like that but I might go back and double check. I have that set and it's pretty nice. I think I got it for like 18$ though so 14$ is even better.

I went to check online because my Menards is the only one I have ever seen mark down - the others I visit always have it at $19.99 even when on sale.

Low and behold - it is only $12.99!!!. Better get it fast as it is discontinued!

Unfortunately it looks like you get hit with a 2.99$ "processing fee" and then have shipping on top killing the deal. Unless maybe I'm missing something.

Yeah this is really only for those that have a Menards close to them. All of their online orders, even if you choose to pick up in store, have that stupid for fee. They are definitely not serious about online.

EDIT: to clarify, I was looking at the price online to validate the in-store price. I have found that often Menards does not have the accurate price on the tag and store, but it will ring up at that 1299 price

I'm the developer of BluBird, so I don't know how effective my opinion will be but I've to do this :p

In a nutshell:
Same weight.
100% Rubber (Flexilla is hybrid) as say, Goodyear's hoses, just much lighter and stronger.
Much better in cold-weather. It'll be as flexible at -30 as Flexilla is at 0. It can remain genuinely usable at -50 (or even lower, haven't tested practically yet :)
4:1 Safety Factor - the burst pressure is 1200PSI unlike Flexilla's 900.
10 Year Warranty.
Cleans much more easily.
Similar price for all of the above?

There is still a few of the Blubird Hose reels still out there If you can find them. They look really good. They are on clearance for 44.49 with mail in rebate.

Got 2 waiting for me to pickup

177 on newegg (not that they will ever get that) and 92 on ebay

For the last two years Menard's has had a free calendar in the Sunday Chicago Tribune for new years. It included six $5 off $50 coupons that were good for the whole year. I have no idea if they are doing it again but it would be worth watching for if you get that paper. (They might also do it in other papers but I do not know that to be the case.

Hey guys, bag sale 15% off all in the bag starts today. Also, new ad out for other stuff.

Question for the board: They have the MasterForce Miter Saw Stand Station for $120 on sale. I got a huge Rigid 12" slider saw. Would this be a good match for that saw? Who has one and comments please? Has a lifetime warranty which is good. Let's keep discussion to the MF stands mainly, pros/cons. thx- Paul

Have you seen this review?

My main issue with these type of stands (I use Dewalt DWX723), is that I find it difficult to use it if I want repeatable cuts using a stop block, especially for smaller sized work piece. I will make modifications/additions, when I get some time to solve this problem.

It would have made a great TV stand for that 80" TV!

I saw that sale too within the last week, but don't have the space for something that big.

Thanks I did not find that review in my search. Sounds pretty good. My main question is how would my giant Ridgid 12" slider do on top of it. Also, I may change out the tool on top from time to time with other benchtop tools. Other thoughts? - Paul

I don't have your exact tools. I am using the Dewalt stand with Dewalt DWS780 miter saw which is also a 12" miter saw. So, from a pure sliding miter saw stand, I think you will be OK with the Menards miter saw stand. I do not use my stand for anything but miter saw. But it is folding so I remove the miter saw and stow away the stand. I think you will be happy with the stand, as it offers several advantages over the Dewalt stand that I have.

Good luck with your decision.
