I think Project Farm did a vice comparison earlier this year. It was interesting, or maybe entertaining at least, but I don’t recall the conclusion. I’m not in the market.

HF was top contender, don't know if OP bought same model but I was impressed. Definitely best bang for buck in that test.

OP, can you describe the parting line on the HF vice jaws? I noticed the grind is a bit wide which isn't common for a cast product....I very much doubt forged at this price point and from looking at the surface finish but my OCD's making me ask. This is what I'm refererring to:
