any advice on a decent metric polished full wrench set? Trying to stay under$150
Used snap on.. You could probably find a 10-19mm Snap on set heavily used for $200 so a little over budget but worth it.
What about JH Williams? They seem highly rated here 6mm-19mm for $88 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DO2U2S/?tag=atomicindus08-20. Could add a few bigger sizes as needed.
or 6mm-24mm for $133

I do like my craftsman pro set a lot and do not think you could go wrong with them either.
I would avoid those like the plague the taiwan made williams are horrible look a for supercombo set

They have thick, comfortable beams, and the finish is almost like jewelry.
They're only lacking in one area: Length
I don't always find that to be a positive. I like average length wrenches, any of the longer ones usually end up irritating me. Once the bolt is broken loose, they get in the way.
I think the Wrights strike a good balance.
I see some folks that are stuck on "longer is better" on ratchets, it's really funny watching someone trying to swing a long handle ratchet from the center of the handle instead of just using the proper average size ratchet instead.
I like long beam wrenches too, but they wouldn't be my primary set.

nope, I just went to sears today, crank my 19mm craftsman pro. They replaced it with a US craftsman pro.
**** i might have to pick up those Gearwrenches, that's a steal.
exactly
I thought that too, but I never felt a wrench spread so easily as a chinese gearwrench basically you get what you pay for

that us true for ratcheting wrenches but the good stuff is older, and has a KD part number most of the big combination sets I've see are chinese
I bought a never used snap on wrench set 10-19mm for $80 off of craig's list. I have bought lots of Snap on stuff there and never had a problem.

That's a once in a lifetime "You ****" deal and can't be used as a reference IMO... and by the way... You ****!![]()
