Got a future addition to the garage "home" today. Work threw it out. It's just the stripped table and 2 cylinders that need rebuilt. Will be lengthening it and finding a new power source and mounting it in the floor this summer.

Only took me a month after Photobucket hosed us to get motivated to re upload everything to imageshack and fix all of the links in this thread. Not much going on this summer been busy with work and house projects. Did get the bumper for the truck built, link to that in my signature but give me a couple days to fix the pics in that one.

Started on the 12x20 shed over the weekend. If anyone has a framing project coming up and doesn't already have a framing nailer you need to get one. Had everything framed up and nailed down in under 3 hours with breaks

Garage is looking good, just wondering yours is 25 feet deep, I'm getting ready to buid a 24x40, are you happer with your 24 ft depth, I know its an odd question, id like to get some insite from others who have a similar depth..

I would go 30 on the depth. I have a ecsb Sierra and it barely fit with the 2' wide workbench on the back wall and still be able to walk around one end, in pretty sure it was less than 12". I don't think i would have any room to get around it with the new bumper if I could even close the door.

Very slowly progressing. Been busy the last few weeks and haven't had the time/ funds to move as fast on this as I wanted too. Hopefully be setting trusses this weekend.

Picked up some used corrugated sheet metal for $150 that should be enough to cover both mine and my neighbors shed roofs.

Nice score on the metal roofing! Which framing nailer did you get? I rented a battery powered Dewalt to build my garage and it was awesome! 3 days of rent and I got a ton done. I should have just bought it... I was not sure how long the batteries would last but it was pretty cool... I will just buy an air nailer though way less $.

I got a refurbished porter cable FR350BR from Amazon. Works great and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Got another wall done. Hopefully I can get the other one done before I have to go to work this afternoon.

Behind the garage. All of the kids toys, lawn equipment and hopefully the woodworking tools. Hoping once everything is moved in and organized there will be enough room to set it up as the wood shop. Then keep the automotive and metalworking stuff in the garage. Being able to get 2 cars in it for the first time since we bought the house

You're making good progress and it's a really nice design building. That extra storage space in the attic will be nice.

Need to trim the bottom and put on the lower drip edge and the roof is done. Planning on trimming out the doors and getting them hung this weekend. Then I can put on the last wall and trim out the corners and seams.

Doors look good from here. Did you get to prime the back of the trim so it doesn’t rot away?

Or do you have access to a metal brake for the trim aluminum?

I primed all of my trim prior to installation and it’s still good today 25 years later.
My fathers shed has trim that has basically rotted away. Go figure, I think it was built by a shed building outfit.

I was going to go through once all the trim was on and caulk everything before I painted the whole shed white to match the house and garage.

So if you caulk all the joints and seams of all the trim , the back side won’t get wet and start to rot away?

No questioning but just asking. I’ve always painted all 6 sides of trim out of habit.

Thanks

Got the garage cleaned up some. Even had help, she stole my sweeper so I had to go the the broom and do the main part of the floor while she did the perimeter and hard to reach areas

Hasn't been this clean in 6 months.

Not a whole lot. Was busy with work, then started a new job. Once it starts warming up and staying warm I can get it finished. Have been spending some time in the garage making some kydex holsters.

Got the dog door and kennel attached to the side of the shed. Finished moving stuff around and doing some organizing. Been hard to get motivated to do stuff outside with this. Bi-polar Ohio weather. Need to get the shed wired so I can get the radial arm saw and table saw moved out there and make room for more stuff in the garage.

Had some water issues inside the house this spring and moved up the remodel of the upstairs bathroom and pushing the garage completion back a little more. Did add a new ride the stables.

That’s my parents house. It used to be a tv antenna but they switched to cable years ago and the antenna itself broke. Now it’s just a 30’ tower with a 15’ cb antenna on top. I still have an antenna at home. I can get clear reception from stations 50+ miles away.

Did some cleaning today and hung a couple of the Milwaukee chargers on the peg board. Have a couple new additions as well. Picked up an HF sandblasting cabinet for $100 off of letgo and scored a smaller bandsaw in perfect condition, will use it for my kydex holsters and smaller projects until I get the big craftsman repaired.
