Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Miller Time Garage

Workspaces between 705 and 1200 squarefeet.
This past week (in-between my minor lower back issues), the wife and I finished installing the repurposed Tin on the interior south wall.
I was then able to hang a few flags and install the beer-can crusher on the wall.
Then we began on the north wall.
The Miller Time sign is on the front wall of the loft, which is the east end of the building.
We're at the point now, where I'm able to cut an opening in the wall for the north sliding doors.

Yesterday, the wife and I installed a few sheets of foam insulation of the Northwest side of the shop. This is the area where my work bench will be situated. Hopefully, it'll help keep it cooler in the summer heat. We have a few more areas to insulate before installing the re-purposed Tin.

This Craftsman 6-1/8" Jointer/Planer was given to me by a lady who owns a second-hand store.
Wife and I have been giving her thing we needed to get rid of when we sold our previous house in the summer of 2020.
I stopped at her place today to drop off a few more items and she gave me the dust collection bad that goes with it. I had to do a little TLC to get it looking good. I tested it and all is Okay.
I spent a little time cleaning it up.

That's a really nice gift.
Yesterday, I installed the retractable casters on the fab table.
For the mounting plates, I used a few pieces of scrap flat bar.
Holes were drilled to attach the casters. I inserted bolts and welded the heads to the plates, as there is no access to them once installed.
Specs on the casters.
LOAD CAPACITY: Each leveling caster loads up to 1102 lbs., four casters could totally hold stably 3300 lbs. machine.
My figures are that the fab table is a bit over 700 lbs.
I'm surprised at how easy it is to roll; and at how stable it is when the casters are retracted.
I haven't decided on the paint color for the legs and cross braces.

Nice! I've been thinking about a set of caster like those. Mind if I ask a few questions?
I assume you have to get down near ground level to adjust them, correct? Can you adjust the height with the weight of table on them? And how easy are the knobs to turn?

The height adjusting wheel is just above the feet, so yes. You need to get down near the floor to adjust them. Although, it's not like you'll be adjusting them every day.
The height can be adjusted with the weight of the table, but the effort needed depends on that weight. Naturally, a lighter table will need less effort.
Yesterday, we worked on the area at the shop's south door, laying rebar and a well-water supply pipe.
Saturday, we installed two 4"x4" square tubing stubs in the corners of the concrete form.
The uprights for the awning will be welded to these stubs at a later date.
Today, wife and I worked on leveling the soil between the shop and house to prepare the area for concrete.
Ran string lines and installed concrete keyways. Still need to dig a trench to lay a water pipe to the corner of the shop for a spigot.

OK! After a few delays, wife and I have things ready to pour concrete tomorrow.

Yesterday afternoon, I re-installed the half-fence (wood & iron) next to the house.
Being the concrete has bleached out, I tried slowly removing one section of the form boards early this morning.
The first try went well, so I removed them all.
Depending on my cash flow, either this week or next I'll be placing an order for the material to build the awning over the shop's south barn door.
If the weather holds out, I'll try to begin building the 4-1/2' wide gate (access to park the golf cart) and attaching the cedar boards to the iron post this coming week.

Making some real nice progress
Not much work on the shop, but I did do a few other things. I fabricated a weld-on/bolt-on mount to attach the new-to-me ReelCraft air reel.
Yesterday, wife applied primer to the shop's rear walk-through, sliding door. The weather was so nice today, I applied two coats of matching exterior paint.
The lower portion of the door will have a steel paneling installed (to match the exterior walls) prior to re-hanging it.
Later in the afternoon, I replaced the sparks plugs on my old John Deere tractor.
After that, I swapped the points and condenser --------
------ for a Pertronix Electronic Ignition.
It amazed me how much smoother it runs; and it idles better than ever.

Not much to report on the continued build.
I did pick up more materials to build the north side barn-style doors yesterday. I'm hoping to begin on that next week.
Last Thursday, Wife and I picked up some wood fencing from one of our neighbors. The fence was blown over during the last Hurricane. This 6' tall fence was erected about 4 years ago. It was supported by 4"x4" post. The neighbor is upgrading to 4"x6" post and 8' tall boards.
We made one load with the trailer that day. We went back yesterday with only my truck and made two loads.
We off loaded the fencing and de-nailed the boards. I cut the "dog-ears" off the top of the boards and stacked them. The pic below are the boards from the trailer load.
We'll de-nail the rest of the fence sometime this week. We'll do a light cleaning on the boards, as we want the "weathered look". They'll be used to line one wall in the shop.

Starting to follow this now, the aesthetics of this shop are really cool, both inside and out. I love what you're doing. Nice work!
Also like the Frontier. I had one of those for about six years. Great trucks. Is that a Shrockworks bumper on it? Looks really good with the black and white.

Thanks, Tom. Yes, it's a Shrockworks bumper. I installed a 17K winch in it. I began setting up the truck to ride trails out west, then all hell broke loose with the plandimic.
I had a bed-rack with a RTT attached but sold it when I bought the new house. I needed the rack to haul materials.
I have rock-sliders and a Dana 44 w/locking diff to install but don't have the time while building my shop. After my shop is complete, I may re-visit the off-road situation.

I did the RTT setup with bed rack on mine for a while as well, worked pretty well. I ended up going to a ground tent though with a topper on the back. I liked having all that storage. Sounds like you've got a pretty solid build in the wings for it. Can't wait to see it take off.
