Picked up my 2nd 3/8 stubby impact yesterday, for what its worth fellow garagers, it's one of my most used tools. It's just as strong as my M18 3/8 full size impact and fits in way more places.

I concur. Easily my favorite little tool.

I shouldnt have looked at this thread. I asked for the ratchet kit (55 lbft variety) for Christmas and I just found the $250 deal on HD's website... It comes with the 35lbft version but still, its only $25 more than the amazon deal and it comes with the bit driver... Bit driver is $85 by itself. Sigh, I guess Im happy with the 55lbft ratchet.

Question for those who ordered the stubby impact deal; how did your shipment arrive? I received the tool only today. I would have thought the tool and the 4.0 battery would have came in the same shipment considering its listed as one item. It's still showing the extra 2.0 battery as being shipped separately which I understand.

It happens sometimes depending on availability in the warehouse the tools/batteries are coming from. The deal where you get a free battery with the tool isn't a SKU where the tool comes with the battery in the box. You get 2 different retail packages, one tool and one battery. Milwaukee doesn't have a SKU that I'm aware of that is just a tool with a battery. It is either bare tool or kit. The bare tool with battery is a special promo, not a SKU you normally can buy.

Mine showed up yesterday and in the box was the charger and 4.0 battery, the stubby impact tool only, and the "free" battery I hope to return today

You can only return the battery if it showed up as a separate line item on the receipt. If it all shows as a single line item, it is all or nothing.

I have a few M12 tools and some are difficult to get the battery off of. One review I saw said the M12 rocket using the larger 4,5,6 ah batteries are hard to remove. I have a lot of M18 tools and batteries so will be looking for more deals on M18 tools mainly. I did buy a 3/8 ratchet 2567 and 2505 installation drill driver. Two tools that are not matched in the M18 line.

If you scroll way down, you'll see some shop vac deals including the first time I've seen a deal on the dual battery unit. Not the deal I'm looking for to jump on a dual battery shop vac but interesting to see it on sale for once.
I had to take a deep breath to buy my dual battery vac but now that I have it, I’m very happy. Not having to plug in the cord and then unplug and wrap it back on the vacuum is great. I use it way more often since it’s just flipping a switch instead of the plug in/out game. And no cord to trip or pull tools over top. Wonderful!

what are you running for dual batteries? I usually run 2x-2ah and get about 20 minutes

Saw this on the SD front page. Its 2x 4.0 M12 batteries with a packout wall mount 1/2 plate and M12 battery holder for 99 bux. Select local pickup and add item to cart and it should drop to 99 dollars. I just tested it and it is still working. This is YMMV because I think it only works for local pickup.

Sorry I meant I usually run 2x12ah. I have tried 2x9ah and 2x8ah but run time goes down. 2x6ah like you are running might be ok for low power mode with maybe a brief interval here or there on high. The dual battery vac really goes best with 2x12ah,

About a year ago, there was a link at GJ for the M12 tower light at $129 with a 4 or 6AH battery - can’t remember which but I bought one.
That has been my mental benchmark price for a year now. For a few months there the m12 rocket was on sale with 4 / 6 on and off. Then when i finally talk myself in to buying it, that sale dried up.

Not right now but I got this 4 pack of batteries for 300 plus tax last month.
It factored out to less than 11 dollars per amp hour across all 4 batteries.

At 138 for a single battery you are at 17.25 per amp hour. For a single battery it isn't the worst deal out there but if you are patient and don't need it now you can do much better.

Do you have a link where Milwaukee 8ah is available for less?
Google shows Safety Source Supply is $115, Amazon is $124, EBay is $90 for 8ah. Or keep looking here and be patient and probably someone will post one eventually. If you must buy now, then you must pay the best present price you can find.

15% off Milwaukee at MaxTool. Someone was looking for a deal on the track saw? I think you can apply the 15% off to the bare tool kit for this. The code is MWE15. Sale ends tonight.

Home Depot has had the M18 impact driver with charger and battery for $99 for a while. Same for the drill with battery.

Thank you. Got me.

It wouldn't let me split the order (kept on getting a technical error) between store and pickup so I could just abandon one item more easily.
Hi guys, another trial and error pro-tip would just have them/HD ship all items to home going forward. When I went to pickup before the deadline they had already restocked my items and then called corporate to verify since there was inconsistencies with the skus vs the order. Bottom line is they wouldn't give me the original deal of two grease guns and a ratchet as it was in error. This was after 45 min waiting and much apologizing by the helpful cashier that was trying to help me resolve.

Shipping to home would have streamlined greatly and I could have initiated the return for the 2nd grease gun at my leisure.

That's what I've been doing since day 1.

Seemed easier than trying to only pick up 1 item and abandon the other lol.
