Hi guys, another trial and error pro-tip would just have them/HD ship all items to home going forward. When I went to pickup before the deadline they had already restocked my items and then called corporate to verify since there was inconsistencies with the skus vs the order. Bottom line is they wouldn't give me the original deal of two grease guns and a ratchet as it was in error. This was after 45 min waiting and much apologizing by the helpful cashier that was trying to help me resolve.

Shipping to home would have streamlined greatly and I could have initiated the return for the 2nd grease gun at my leisure.

I had a terrible in store fight over a recent return at HD. I was treated so poorly(by the store manager) it'll be a cold day in hell before I set foot in an HD again. I've relegated them to the same status as Best Buy which is I'll only buy from them when I'm sure they're taking a loss on the sale.

Before anyone rebuts...it was a legit return in which I wanted the refund to go back on the HD card instead of the in store only credit. And that is what happened in the end. I don't know if the cashier input something incorrectly on the first attempt but the situation went completely down hill after that.

That's what I've been doing since day 1.

Seemed easier than trying to only pick up 1 item and abandon the other lol.
I suspect they are trying to make it harder. I have done both many times and think I am giving up on in store pickups going forward. If only HD didn't have the best deals...

customer service can definitely vary widely unfortunately. This is after I took a break from HD for a few years.

Home Depot special buy for today $359 :

M18 FUEL Gen-2 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Mid Torque 1/2 in. Impact Wrench & Tower Light w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries

looks like a decent deal.

$249 Impact (bare tool, list)
$229 Light (bare tool, list)
$120 batteries ($10 / Ah)

$598 total.

Has there been a better deal for this?

It's back at $469 today (which they claim is still 38% off $757 "normal" price). I didn't buy. Anyone else?

I got my first 6.0ah HO with my packout track saw. Its a heavy thing. I recently bought 6.0 forge and its lighter and smaller. So now I am likely not to buy any more XC6.0 HO batteries. Its great on the track saw, but for anything you pick up to use, its a lot of weight for me. Just waiting on some sales for the forge battery. Unfortunately I have just about all the 18v Fuel tools so any combo deals likely won't work for me.

Did a quick count and have at least 37 M18 and 4 M12 tools. 3 12v Dewalt tools. Most are Fuel as I learned early on brushless is more powerful. Started my cordless life with a Dewalt 18v DW4PAK-2. Used the sawzall a lot and those dewalt batteries just didn't last. Had to replace them yearly. Got my first brushless M18 sawzall and it was so much more powerful. I still have my original M18 batteries and they still work fine. Been over a decade with Milwaukee and no regrets.

6 1/2 Fuel Circular Saw with 5ah and charger for $199. Not sure if this is a pretty average deal or not but I needed a cordless circular saw while finishing attic space during construction and not wanting to deal with my corded one. Quick research said it was at least better than average price.

No where near as good as the deal at home depot last week....

Personally I'd wait for this to pop up again. Basically the same price but you get a 4AH battery and a charger lol.

also a different tool. 1/2" doesn't go on sale nearly as much as the 3/8".

That also was likely a mistake, and unlikely you will see that deal again. Several items had the "free" battery or tool already included with the tool, but still included the extra of the "free" item in addition.

Didn't even realize that it was a 1/2". Seems silly to put a 1/2" anvil on that baby gun but to each their own lol. Regardless, it's the same tool, just 1/2" instead of 3/8"

Also, plenty of combo kits with batteries offered free tools/free batteries. The same combo kit is available right now with a free battery, it's just not on sale.

I always used the CP3.0 battery in mine when I lived in the PNW. Now that I'm back in SoCal where I belong I find I don't need the head, the jacket without the heat has been warm enough on its own. I suppose the new 5.0 battery would give the longest runtime now followed by the CP3 then the new 2.5 battery? I wouldn't want to use the XC batteries, it wouldn't be comfortable in the battery pocket because of the shape.

I’m tempted to order the 3XL heated jacket, but I’m concerned it won’t be long enough or big enough. The deal at Home Depot with the free 2.5 battery and included 3.0 battery seems like a great deal.

I have the heated hoody, it needs to be snug on you to get the benefit from heating it up.

I just spent $180 on the wrench alone. But I have lots of batteries and 3 tower lights already. Great deal for those who need all 3 things!

$349

I think this is the lowest I have seen this combo.
Sign up for a Pro account and you can use the $50 off $300 coupon on this as well. $299+ Tax for all that is a steal.

I ordered the 3XL M12 Toughshell jacket. I’m happy to report that it’s long enough for me in both the sleeves and body. The jacket is a bit heavier than it looks but is also warm even without the heating elements on. The outer material seems like it will be durable, but it’s noisy when moving around. I’m going to mark the 90 day return period on the calendar and keep it for a while to make sure I like it enough to keep it long term. With the 3.0 and 2.5HO batteries being worth about $100, the jacket cost $110.

Sorry I meant I usually run 2x12ah. I have tried 2x9ah and 2x8ah but run time goes down. 2x6ah like you are running might be ok for low power mode with maybe a brief interval here or there on high. The dual battery vac really goes best with 2x12ah,
I don’t have any 12’s yet. Now that the forge batteries are out, I’ll look to get a couple 12’s, mostly for my chainsaw. The 6’s work fine since I mostly use the m18 vac for a couple minutes at a time. I have a corded vac on standby if I ever need to do an extended version.

The larger M18 vacs should’ve come with a plug for running off the extension cord rather than trying to sell us another power head. I purchased a 12.0 for the 6 gallon vac, cost almost as much as the vac itself.

I agree but it seems like they only do that with their lights. Still, I’m very satisfied with the dual battery vac. It lets me use it for a 5 second cleanup without a 2 minute setup and takedown and it lets me drag it around my shop or pull it around the car without it falling over the cord. I like the cordless vac the same way I liked my first real cordless tool. It did the same thing as corded but loved not having to pull out the extension cord.

I didn’t see this deal on Batteries listed. 2 8.0ah and 2 6.0ah for $275.
For some reason I can’t buy these. The page isn’t displaying a price, but shows 800+ available to ship. When I try to add to cart it says unavailable. Maybe there is a glitch, or maybe they sold through the number they wanted to at the promo price. I’ll check again tomorrow.
