That is part of their Special Buy of the Day, mentioned earlier. I didn't think it was a smoking deal, but I've never looked at buying any brushed tools lately, so I didn't give it an individual link.
You actually ordered the kit, not just the tool. I'm sure you are aware of that, but with a 5.0 battery, that is sort of a big distinction. I think many on this forum have the Fuel Mid-torque that is smaller and more powerful that the unit you purchased, which may be why no one has mentioned it.
Not familiar with Milwaukee battery tools. Is the Fuel one better? Price? I need the whole kit at least once to get the battery and charger. All my other tools are DeWalt 20V.

Ya Home Depot pulls that **** on deals of the day OFTEN! Honestly I personally buy as little as possible thru them. Just saving on the sales tax I figure I win most times going somewhere else.

No matter what though it seems like weird stuff going today...first the ACME site was inaccessible for a while and that halted my order on the 2522-20 M12 cut off tool. So while I was annoyed with that I went thru the motions and duplicated the same order on TOOLUP with MIL25. Of course there was no free shipping with it and that pretty much killed that idea. So while I was procrastinating around and watching You Tube videos on some of the Milwaukee USB lights and pricing them out. my page refreshed at TOOLUP and get this...the price went down on the cut off tool from $129 to $114! So now with shipping after MIL25 it was less than ACME was with 18% off and free shipping Go FIGURE!

Someone's watching

BTW ACME is currently out of stock on them but TOOLUP says in stock :D

As for the USB lights as much as want the pivoting Rover LED Flood Light for it's great features, even with the flaws like the weak magnetic clip the current HD deal on the original 455 lumen Rover with two batteries and charger pod is still a pretty good IMO

International Tool still has 2997-22 with a free 5.0, free ship and no tax in NY. They have had this on and off for a few weeks. Probably can get a better price on 2997-22 elsewhere but free 5.0 battery is good.

Lol I can't post a link, lurked for ages but don't have enough posts haha.

Yes it was, I called and they basically told me tough luck. Ridiculous to get treated this way. Between myself and business we spend over 25k a year at HD.

Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

Atleast they emailed you that it was canceled. For me I ordered some tools at a store about 75 miles away, 4 m18 fuel combo kits actually. Plus a second order of an m12 fuel kit. All of which my local HD confirmed that store had in stock +1 quantity to account for possible display. I wasnt getting over there for a week or two because it was way out of my way and I wasnt in any hurry. M12 fuel kit canceled a day or two later saying no stock and they called saying the 4 m18 fuel kits were ready for pickup. Took them a few days even for that.... I told them see you in about 2 weeks when I get over there. No problem they say. A week later they call asking if I want to review my tools. I mention I haven't picked them up yet and will see them in a week or so. No problem. 3 days later same review call and I mention same I will be there soon. Couple days later someone demanding I pickup my stuff then see notes of when I said I'll be there.

Few days later I go to pickup and nobody can find my items and they claim it was never there or pulled even with the multiple calls, texts, emails and the person signing off on it pulled and put in cage. So basically an employee jacked my tools. Manager on duty (asst manager) is a royal witch and then has me and my 5 year old escorted out of store for declining her joke of an offer of 2 gen 1 m18 fuel combo kits for 10% discount off original msrp..... several complaints filed with corporate over all of it followed by multiple phone conversations with store manager that confirmed my tools were stolen and nothing he could do and multiple phone conversations with the regional manager saying he was looking into it before he started blocking my calls over the course of several months. Nothing came of it other than wasting a lot of my time at store and on phone and gas while being about 3 weeks to see a refund.

I kept being told by regional manager they were looking into it and the tools were for sure stolen from the cage but it couldn't be an employee..... this was back in July and I haven't had the regional manager or store manager return a call in about 3 months. Even calling corporate to have them call me goes nowhere. So I went back to just working with my milwaukee reps at supply houses or online orders only. I drive past HD to go to Lowes for any quick trips that I'm not getting at a supply house or lumber yard. Haven't stepped foot in HD since July.

Fyi prior to this incident I personally spent over 10k a year with HD and over 10k a year for work with HD. Not to mention any oddball Milwaukee tool sales.

I'm planning on pulling the trigger on a 2767 tonight. There is an ebay seller listing one, but has this photograph:
ef1Qld7.png

It doesn't match the image on the Milwaukee site, there are differences in design.

Anyone familiar with exactly what tool is shown in the photo? Is it the first gen tool?

**Edit - maybe it's the angle of the photo that's making it look different?

Thanks,
Ryan

I told them see you in about 2 weeks when I get over there.

Most stores will auto-cancel your pick-up order if not picked up within a week, regardless of what someone tells you on the phone. I don't know of any retailer that wants 4 large kits tying up space on the front end for 2-3 weeks. It sounds like you were giving them the runaround of when you were going to pick up your stuff, so they returned the favor.

Looks like the right one to me Gen 2 2767

I have a Gen 1 2763

You can easily see the difference in the rubber bumper before the name badge, plus the nose cone is longer and the indentation is different

Got my 3/8" stubby impact today and man this thing is a beast for the size. Should be a great addition to my toolbox!

Yeah I got mine last week from a ebay deal. That thing is sweet for a M12 tool and already used it taking a bumper off.

toolup has the packout compact organizer on sale for 25$:

https://www.toolup.com/Milwaukee-48-22-8435-PACKOUT-Compact-Organizer

now, if they brought back the 99$ free shipping offer, and kept MIL25, you could get four of those for 75$, shipped.

currently, they want 14$ to ship them, although MIL25 still works, so they are 89$.

anyone have a way to get the lower free shipping level from them? how long is MIL25 set to run?

mind you, i dont need four of them, i really only need two, but if i could get four for 75$, i would pull the trigger.

Just ordered a 2767 for $155 shipped w/ taxes from CPO’s ebay page. Got a timing belt to do on my gf’s lexus, so this (paired with lisle 22mm crank bolt socket) should take care of the crank bolt. :)

It'll do it no doubt! I have one and I changed out a factory stub shaft in my kids jetta with a 130k miles on in last weekend and and I think it had the nut off before I even realized I had pulled the trigger! I did the shaft on the other side a few months ago and about gave myself a hernia!

I don't know of any retailer that wants 4 large kits tying up space on the front end for 2-3 weeks. It sounds like you were giving them the runaround of when you were going to pick up your stuff, so they returned the favor.

Home depot online orders are 30days upon initial order placement date, or pickup ready date depending on location. Some fall back on initial confirmed date even if it takes them multiple days to prepare order. Email and order confirmation are pretty clear on that and tell you the last date available for pickup. Some other retailers like lowes is 15 days and others like office depot is pretty much forever until you ask them to cancel. I only did a few hundred personal and another few hundred for business online orders with home depot in last few years..... of course the official policy is copied below.

There was no run around on picking them up. Everytime I gave them the date, they said oh yeah that's in the order notes, sorry. The order was actually still "ready for pickup" and signed out to the cage by the person who pulled it. The kits were just missing from the cage and the store manager later confirmed they were stolen from the cage and never picked up or canceled.

Once my order is ready, how long will it be available for pickup?
Your order will remain available for a maximum of 30 days from the time you receive a Pick Up in Store Notification. Orders not claimed after that will be available based on the product type and store location. For more information please contact Online Customer Care at 1-800-430-3376.

Can some one help me figure out what the price would be on this kit if I returned the 6 tool kit and kept the 1/2" inpact? Would I just be 799*.35 or $280 for the 1/2" impact

SMH. This is asked way to often to know that you haven't been reading the thread regularly. I can just about guarantee you will find your answer within 3 pages reading, and you will bave a better idea on ideal pricing or tools.

Sorry for not answering directly, but would you look back if did? If you don't find it, PM me.

I understand your frustration of people asking the same question over and over again, but I don't feel that deserves what I took as a rude response by you. I unfortunately have been reading this thread regularly, and it has fuelled by tool obsession and cost me far too much money :lol_hitti

I was under the impression the you take the %off and apply that to either the original tool(s) or the free item. Example buy the chainsaw kit and get a free battery deal. Its 600 discounted to 400 with the free battery which is 66%. So if I were to return the battery I would get 200*.66 or $133 back. If I were to return the saw kit I would get $400*.66 or $266 back.

In this case it would be 799/1228 or 65%. So the 2767 would be (1228-799)*.65 = 278.85, which sounded high for me so I wasn't sure if I missed something.

Perhaps if I asked the question this way you would have at least given me some credit for trying to figure it out and confirmed my assumptions or corrected me.

Maybe if this is an all to often asked question we should have a good explanation on the first post of as a sticky, unless of course its already there and I missed it. Ten I retract my statement :shocking:

I didn't think I was too rude, but more trying to show frustration. I don't expect anyone to read all of the pages here, especially with increased posting during the holidays. I wasn't sure where you were getting any of the #'s from, aside from the package price.

2 (edit, now 3) pages back on the bottom, I posted about what deals could be done online. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. When it is possible:

A * A/(A+B) = new price for A.
B * A/(A+B) = new price for B
A = main bundle price
B= "free" tool price

No hard feelings, thanks for the explanation. On the automotive forums the never ending" what's the best exhaust" threads really get frustrating haha

Has anyone received a toolup.com shipping confirmation from a purchase made this weekend? I know they were probably inundated with purchases this weekend, but I'm headed out of town and would like to plan to have someone pick up my orders (so they don't sit out for a few days) if I can plan ahead.

Check Slickdeals for a UPS premium account coupon - it comes to about $1/month. You can then schedule your deliveries. FedEx is free. USPS mail holds are free. I used to travel all week, every week for work.

i placed two orders. one shipped, and one hasn't. the one that hasn't has a backordered item.

they both were placed on saturday, the 24th.

does anyone know if toolup ships partial orders? most places do, i imagine that keeping orders waiting for backordered items would be a logistical nightmare, but i am kind of surprised that they didnt take what they had from the other order and include it with the order they had (the package they shipped doesnt weigh enough to have included the item from the other order that they have in stock).

maybe their system doesnt work like that, but it would save a lot of money, even if they were shipping both orders today. . . . .

surprisingly, the order i placed yesterday with acmetools.com managed to ship today. usually they aren't that on the ball . . . . .of course their online system doesnt show a tracking number . . . . .

Would this change if 2 free tools are offered? Or would you just add the price of both free items in the calculation?

Thanks.

Original tool or kit price * [main kit price / (kit price + tool 1 + tool 2)] = new price of individual tool or kit

If you are military or go in with someone that is, ask if they will just take 10% off the main bundle item, otherwise a 10% off total purchase over-rides the free tool promo.

Yeah I tried that the other day and they shot me down on a Bundle deal. (Said you get either or not both)

This look right below on a 2 tool free bundle?

A * A/(A+B+C) = new price for Main Bundle
B * A/(A+B+C) = new price for Free Tool (2nd Tool also if applicable)
A = main bundle price 399.00
B= "free" tool price 99.00
C= 2nd "free" tool price (If applicable) 99.00

319.68 Main Bundle Price
79.32 1st Free Tool Price
79.32 2nd Free Tool Price (If applicable)

So one could return the (2) free tools and get $158.64 back that would drive the original items price down to $240.36

Once we have it up, we can put it in the first post of the 2019 thread and we will be able to refer back to it all year long =)

the document is set for view only.

i can understand that you dont want to let anyone edit it, because they might, i am sure inadvertently, screw it up.

on the other hand, it is most useful if i can plug in the numbers, and get the answers. i can't see a way to download a copy of the spreadsheet itself, which would sort of solve the issue, but would require me to have a spreadsheet program. (comes free on my mac, not sure about windoze)

perhaps a web page that you can input the values and get the answer . . . . .

At Home Depot - Bare Milwaukee heated hoodies or jackets @ $99 also qualify for the free 2 amp battery if you manually add the battery to the cart. Not bad if you have an extra charger about.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...-Heated-Hoodie-Hoodie-Only-302G-20L/305583765

Have not seen this anywhere else.

Thanks for this. I snagged a sweatshirt for myself and vest for the wife yesterday. While browsing the guys stuff was going fast. Today it's mostly all sold out.

I saw this mentioned last week, and couldn't get sizing nailed down, and of course doesn't matter now. How is it Milwaukee sells out of this every year, and doesn't learn from it? Obviously there is demand, but they fall short every year of fulfilling it. We aren't even into the part of the season where you see others wearing theirs, and then creating more interest/demand for them.
