Well I finally got back to HD, and they did let me return the batteries. I guess I had to wait for the emailed receipt that showed them as separate line items, vs. whatever the clerk was looking at in their system at the time I picked up the order.

So now I get to head off and order the M12 grease gun kit...

I'm looking for them. Out of my M18 fleet of a dozen or so batteries only have 1 x 8.0 and 1 X 12.0 that comes in kits.

Same. I have the chainsaw and a pole saw, and would like a second backup battery for them.
There's someone selling 2 brand new 8.0's on FB near me for $140. Might have to PM them...

2 3.0's for a $60 is a damn good deal - almost feels like pre-pandemic pricing. Its a Win in my books

Great price on the 28-piece hole dozer kit. You'll need to add $14.01 to get free shipping though.

Is this a good deal?
Iirc that drill and driver aren't great.

I'd spend a little more at HD for the newer 3497-22 kit and hack it down to $140ish by returning the free cp2.5 battery. Or keep both at the promo price of $200

You're right . I had them and they aren't that great power wise and I went through 2 or 3 drills because the chucks would lock up. They got sold off /donated. Spend more and get better. If you have to have Milwaukee and 12v, then go for the FUEL versions. But why stop there. Go for the 18V versions. I went Makita 18V.

Here's a pretty good deal I think for you guys wanting the m12 grease gun. Buy the fuel ratchet kit and you get to select a free tool. M12 grease gun is an option

Liking the Max tool 2 X 5.0 + free tool deals. They don't have chargers which I prefer since I am starting to hoard more than I need.

Hey guys, just wondering what do you guys who use M12 think of the new high output 2.5/5ah batteries compared to the normal 3/6ah batteries. I've been thinking about getting the new batteries, but from what I've heard it's not as great a difference compared to the M18 high output vs normal batteries.

If they are a legit improvement I might just get that twofer pack at the home depot they're selling now for $150 unless there's a sale at some other vendor. If the difference is not worth the money, I'm gonna spring for this package instead:

EDIT: It seems I posted this in the wrong thread, sorry for the trouble.

You happened to stumble into the deals section. I'd stick to asking non-deal questions to the Milwaukee tool thread, as you should get better responses there. But too be quick, the new M12 HO are not as much of an improvement over the existing options as M18 HO did. No M12 tool was specifically designed for the HO batteries, so while maybe it bogs down a bit less under the right circumstances with the new battery, I'll be more than fine with 6ah at a better ah per dollar pricing.
The biggest improvement is the shell to the battery if anything, providing better protection & a tighter fit.
I'd say the new HO don't provide much for increased power, but rather prevent any power drops/sags. So far my use with them is in the Multi-tool, Cut-off tool, impact wrench, and inflator. No noticeable difference on any of them for me, but 9/10 times I'm using a 6ah on the tool already.

please post any replies or further questions that are tool related, rather than deal related, in the other thread. With the deal season upon us, it helps others just see what they are hoping to see in this thread (deals!)

Great post 2many. Just one question, was that link supposed to take us to discord?

Thanks! so far that's the best deal I've seen so far this year. Really just looking for the M12 hex driver but no luck so far on a deal on just that below $169 + free battery. This may be the way I end up going.

Seems to have worked at Toolup!

Screenshot_20221117-163020_Chrome.jpg

$75 off $300 with the code, plus automatic free shipping (for orders over $150).

Basically got the Packout case for free.

BTW, I picked Toolup because they were listed as an official retailer on the Milwaukee site, complete with a link that took me there.

Unfortunately, in the order confirmation email, they gave me a link to track that doesn't work. And, the email says to use my email address and a password that I was apparently supposed to have created during the ordering process (at no time was I asked to do that, maybe because I used PayPal?).

So, I've emailed and asked them to keep me posted on when this will ship...

Monday morning, I got a cryptic response to my email:

"Orders are being processed and shipped within 1-3 business hours from Las Vegas NV. Packaging and pulling of inventory is not included in the transit time."

So, does that mean they have unlimited time to pick and package, then they'll rush it right out?

Fortunately, I didn't have to even wait 24 hours, I got another email Monday night confirming that my order has shipped, and should arrive on Friday. Not banking on that, given Thanksgiving, traffic, etc., but that's major progress!

I just realized that Toolup is the Internet side of Fastners Inc. which is a local supplier to the trades. Not sure if there showroom prices are the same as internet or if they allow local pickup. I used to buy a lot there when I was in the concrete cutting business.

Unless they’ve changed the warranty starts from the date of the first charge. The repair centers have a reader that can access that info. That’s how it was when I had them go bad anyway.
