Sawdust looking good! What is your management plan? It rots agonizingly slowly.:lol_hitti

Are you stickering all your boards flat, or using the windrow style of upright drying?

Boards flat. All are inside my auto shop right now as they are still wet and heavy.
Plan is to let them air dry until they get lighter and possibly plane one side. I really have to get a moisture meter. I fear these boards are too heavy for the loft at this time.
I may decide to use them on the porch floor but prefer to save for siding a wood wright's shop. :)

Nice boards! That's a lot of lumber from one cant - I'll bet the bigger log will yield only a few more boards.

Love the clear grain - that's better quality than you can get from most lumber yards.

I may get a few more if I have it sawn with a bandsaw but my back will feel better.

Love model A pickups. Really like old pickup trucks in general but the model A is near the top. Might be biased.

Long story behind the car. Here’s where it’s up to currently.

Sorry about picture quality. Took a picture of pictures. That’s how you know it’s been under construction for a while lol.

Not too much work to get in driveable but a good amount of work to “finish”. I want it clean.
1930 5 window with a rumble seat. All original steel, 32 style grill, 32 style tank out back, total performance chassis so it has good suspension, built motor and trans, motor has a healthy cam.

Do you still have the tow truck? Any others?

I traded the tow truck in 2014 to a dealer for a brand new ford. I built the 31 pickup as a vintage racing banger. Most of the equip. on it is rare as is the truck; late model hard cab with wide bed. I have an AA dump truck also. I am thinking of letting the pickup go as I have too much money ******* in vehicles. PM me if interested in details. Car is looking good what is the power train.

Started with an Oldsmobile rocket 350. Iirc it’s 358 now, cam, pistons, head work, etc. Built Turbo 350, ford rear.

BB: it's posts like yours that makes me (us) want to share more. I hope Sarah's tears of joy helped her even more in her healing and she and your family are still in our thoughts and prayers.

hope the weather is a bit dryer and not too hot and muggy cause i'm sure a few more logs need to be cut.

cheers

Sarah is getting stronger but we found out yesterday that she will need to be on steroids for the rest of her life. Intermittent steroid use, necessary for her condition, has caused her adrenal glands to shut down. Regulating this is essential to her bodily function. It effects her moods and extreme stress could cause her body to dump its reserve. This could cause her blood pressure to drop to a critical level so she will have to add this to her medical alert bracelet. This is what our understanding is at this time.

Bobby, I'm sorry to hear Sarah has to take steroids for the rest of her life. At least there is a medication that helps her. On the bright side, now she can try out for a major league baseball team.

Right on Bob. I will have to tell her that. She will get a kick out of the humor in it.

Back home listening to the sound of a tractor instead of babies with earaches. Not sure where I would rather be. I did get some goodies while in R.I. How does four files and a box end wrench for four dollars sound? Two metal files Nicholson flat were brand new and the others were slightly used wood rasps ten inches long with handles. Those were vintage. The wrench is 1/4 by 5/16 offset box. Pictures when I find them in the mess. I also bought a sewing machine with cabinet and light (Singer) for three dollars and a Gout Stool vintage. Both are still in R.I. as I flew up there.

Nice garage sale finds - you got some pretty darn good deals!

I'm glad to hear Sarah is getting stronger every day. The steroids are a little disappointing, but they certainly beat the alternative. We'll keep the prayers coming her way.

Bobby just checkin in and catchin up.

Happy to hear there has been some positive progress with Sarah.

Those used brick all stacked up took me back to a summer in my child hood
My dad would bring home a load of used brick every friday afternoon and it was my jab to clean and stack them so my folks could sell them for extra $$ for our vacation. A hammer, a chisel, and a bucket of water Oh yah a pair of gloves after the first load was cleaned, Man I remember how my hands hurt!!!

Moving logs that big is a job! I'll bet you're glad you beefed up the table outside your mill.

Sure is Rick. I have one piece 5" x 16" x 12 feet I had to load on my truck by hand and take to the tractor show so my friend could cut it in a demonstration. Rest today.
