Finished the first and most urgent part of the garage backwall. Still have to do a major part of the left part but now my neighbor can have his garden back. I had a lot of broken, damaged and mismade bricks delivered so I’m allready almost out of bricks and still need a few hundred. Got in touch with the factory and hope they get back to me real soon.

Very nicely done. Looks very very nice.

Sorry there were so many bad bricks. Hopefully the brick company will credit you for the breakage.

Show them a picture of your wall, then they will know that you are a professional (not an amateur) and that you know a bad/broken brick when you see one.

Got this little box for my birthday from very good friends. It was filled with all kind of nice and original gifts with a message or a twist. Wanted to give it a second use so bolted it to the wall and started to fill it with gadgets that were somewhere deep in my cabinets or drawers not shown to anyone. Think it will come allright.

It's an old Matchbox I believe that was laying around in my garage. Cause I'm both interested in Hazet and aircooled's it deserved a place in the little cabinet.

Congrats on the super beetle!

I wanted one since I was 14 or so and bought my first one (first car) at 18 and still have it. I still love it big time but it's getting not easy in Belgium to keep it on the road. They reentered the MOT for oldtimers so I have to go to the MOT with my 68 again. While they almost test it as a new car and only allow very little modifications, it's getting very hard for the enthousiasts.

Same here in the USA with the Environmental Protection Agency on everything old. The beetle is my project my daily driver is a 1989 Mazda B2200. I’m 18 now and plan to keep it as long as they will let me here.

Happy Wout :bounce::bounce::bounce:

Wow, that looks neat. I would be VERY happy with a result like that it looks perfect and will surely be a joy to behold for a long time.
A question: I haven't seen bricklaying done with the method of grouting the mortar joints after the wall is built, is this done for a special effect or a local way of doing the job? All the bricklaying i have seen done the mortar is just 'struck off' with the trowel immediately, or 'rubbed' a short while after when the mortar has partly set. Sometimes on modern buildings the joints are 'raked out' to leave a recessed joint but they are left like that.
