OP
Scott, you have been busy. You completely down played that in your post on my thread. Welcome back and I look forward to more of your posts.
Thanks! Will doI also love your posts and seeing what you are up to! Take some action shots when you use that grapple!
You have been busy! I hate it when swelled lug nuts turn a simple job into a curse-fest. I have the same Dunham hardware drawers...love them.
Come on down................Hey Maxcustody can I come down and play with you in your yard cause man are you going to have fun clearing those trees with the new attachment for the bobcat.
Hey Maxcustody! I have almost the same openers as you and I didn't wish to install the ugly remote lights they come with. Also the fact that I too have open rafters and they wouldn't be able to hang over the doors. So, I decided to use the transmitter that comes inside them, wire it up to 110v, put it in a small conduit box and hung it behind a rafter out of site. I then hooked it up to a couple of puck lights and it works great! Just a thought for ya, and kind of a fun project! This way you'd still have control over the lights with the door console.

Correct! I thought all of the jackscrew type openers came with them. You can by them online, then use just one receiver to run as many lights as you want... within reason of course based on load! I'm no electrician but it works really well and you don't have those hideous/worthless garage door lights staring down at ya! ;0) I hooked up two of the small puck lights you see in a kit at Lowes or HD, along with 6 more on a motion sensor so when I walk or pull the cars in there's just a nice warm light and I don't have be blinded by the LED shop lights each time.Great ideamine didn’t come with any lights. Are they the optional lights that you can purchase that you reworked?
Excellent thank you!Correct! I thought all of the jackscrew type openers came with them. I can send you a couple more pics as reference should you want to do the same with yours!Excellent thank you!
More pictures would be great! Thanks!!I can send you a couple more pics as reference should you want to do the same with yours!
Thanks. Yeah there are a lot of areas I will not attempt to drive on. I will be using the chainsaw, ATV and dragging stuff to my road or open trails. Lots of work to do, but I really enjoy it and just love being in the woods.BEAUTIFUL country!! With that terrain though, you're probably gonna have to invest in some OTT (over the tire tracks) for that skid. I've run equipment for most of my life, and with tree canopy's...that area probably doesn't dry out too well. A rubber tire skid is great on asphalt, concrete, and flat areas....but they **** on dirt sloped areas. My last skid was a Bobcat rubber tire and I had some metal OTT's and it was a complete different animal. I've now got a rubber track (CTL) skid and it's much safer/ stable on slopes.
I couldn't help but notice the time on the clock above your new sign, which I like, by the way. It reminded me that even a broken clock is right twice a day
Everytime I see your building I wonder why it looks so much bigger than mine. They are pretty much the same size but you seem to put things away and the footprint swallows it whole and ask for more.
That brush grappler, like others have said, is gonna make a world of difference. You can get alot done with one of those. It also helps to have a mobile tree trimming unit like that ATV. I couldn't help but notice that the chainsaw was in a cruiser ready position. I wonder why that is
Too much good stuff going on here. The lift addition, getting the truck clean, the door threshold. I bet no one ever accused you of slacking off.

Thank you! I really enjoy seeing all your projects in your shop!Scott - just read the whole thread. EXCELLENT! Congrats on the garage build. It looks great and I can see you are really enjoying it.

My FIL gave me a torch setup recently. He has a couple, so he made me a cart and hooked me up with everything. When he was here over Christmas, we were testing it and one of the regulators was faulty.
I have been looking at EBay for a 100 FC and 1350 Victor and found “new old stock”. They arrived today. I will fix the one he gave me and have it as a backup.

Thanks Mike! My FIL is a guy who has 2-3 of everythingNice setup Scott. I am also a Victor fan and surprisingly still use my oxy/acetylene torch setup quite a bit at my home shop.
