You have been busy! I hate it when swelled lug nuts turn a simple job into a curse-fest. I have the same Dunham hardware drawers...love them.

Thanks Brent! Yeah the lug nuts weren’t too bad, but definitely needed to be replaced. It’s nice having all the extra hardware in one place.

I have jackshaft openers for my doors and they don’t come with lights like a typical opener. I mounted a battery powered motion sensor light. Works great for $23👍

Hey Maxcustody! I have almost the same openers as you and I didn't wish to install the ugly remote lights they come with. Also the fact that I too have open rafters and they wouldn't be able to hang over the doors. So, I decided to use the transmitter that comes inside them, wire it up to 110v, put it in a small conduit box and hung it behind a rafter out of site. I then hooked it up to a couple of puck lights and it works great! Just a thought for ya, and kind of a fun project! This way you'd still have control over the lights with the door console.

Great idea👍 mine didn’t come with any lights. Are they the optional lights that you can purchase that you reworked?

Correct! I thought all of the jackscrew type openers came with them. You can by them online, then use just one receiver to run as many lights as you want... within reason of course based on load! I'm no electrician but it works really well and you don't have those hideous/worthless garage door lights staring down at ya! ;0) I hooked up two of the small puck lights you see in a kit at Lowes or HD, along with 6 more on a motion sensor so when I walk or pull the cars in there's just a nice warm light and I don't have be blinded by the LED shop lights each time.

BEAUTIFUL country!! With that terrain though, you're probably gonna have to invest in some OTT (over the tire tracks) for that skid. I've run equipment for most of my life, and with tree canopy's...that area probably doesn't dry out too well. A rubber tire skid is great on asphalt, concrete, and flat areas....but they **** on dirt sloped areas. My last skid was a Bobcat rubber tire and I had some metal OTT's and it was a complete different animal. I've now got a rubber track (CTL) skid and it's much safer/ stable on slopes.

Thanks. Yeah there are a lot of areas I will not attempt to drive on. I will be using the chainsaw, ATV and dragging stuff to my road or open trails. Lots of work to do, but I really enjoy it and just love being in the woods.

I will check out some of the over tire tracks. I have seen them briefly on some YouTube videos but haven’t done any serious research on them. Are there any good choices you recommend?

I couldn't help but notice the time on the clock above your new sign, which I like, by the way. It reminded me that even a broken clock is right twice a day 😂

Everytime I see your building I wonder why it looks so much bigger than mine. They are pretty much the same size but you seem to put things away and the footprint swallows it whole and ask for more.

That brush grappler, like others have said, is gonna make a world of difference. You can get alot done with one of those. It also helps to have a mobile tree trimming unit like that ATV. I couldn't help but notice that the chainsaw was in a cruiser ready position. I wonder why that is😉

Too much good stuff going on here. The lift addition, getting the truck clean, the door threshold. I bet no one ever accused you of slacking off.

🤣thanks…….it actually was the right time.

My building is just one big space…….I think camera angles have a lot to do with it as well. I park the truck behind the lift and the Jeep is parked on the other side it looks different and maybe not as big. 😉

The chainsaws are out a lot. I have pines on the property and they fall or get blown over. I try to cut up and least get them on the ground to deal with later. My OCD doesn’t like leaning blown over trees 🤣 We have made ATV trails all over the property and I am constantly walking them and picking up debris. I even use my backpack blower to keep the leaves off the ground and blow them into the woods😁 I am waiting on winter to actually start, 50 degrees right now at 0500??? I want to get a hard freeze and then I can get the bobcat to a lot more areas to start the cleanup. The ATV is a major tool taking care of trees. I can get it into tighter areas and use the winch to pull stuff down or out to a better area to deal with.

Another one of my problems I can’t sit still🤣🤣 I guess that is a good thing. My mind is always racing to find what is next, my wife thinks I am crazy. I always have to have a plan for everything……….

Picked up some stuff yesterday. My Wife had a dentist appointment and asked if I wanted to go🤔…………why yes I do, I need to go to HF and Lowes😁.

I ordered one of the mini bit sets from HF on January 2, due to it being out of stock everywhere locally. It showed in stock and it was on sale so why not. However the next day it says back ordered on my account WTF! I call them and they say yes it’s back ordered but you should get it in a week……….yeah right. So I waited and waited. I saw it was back in stock locally the other day and canceled my order. I picked it up yesterday. Nice little set.

The main reason for going to Lowes was to pick up plumbing fixtures. Having an issue with my geothermal flow center and I need to flush the tank and change out the valve. Picked up a couple items.

The vise grips were on sale for $15 and lifetime warranty.

My FIL gave me a torch setup recently. He has a couple, so he made me a cart and hooked me up with everything. When he was here over Christmas, we were testing it and one of the regulators was faulty.

I have been looking at EBay for a 100 FC and 1350 Victor and found “new old stock”. They arrived today. I will fix the one he gave me and have it as a backup.

Got the lights for under hood maintenance as well as they should work great under the lift. I was looking at LED strip lights but figured I will see how this works out. It extends to 75” and also the light bar can be removed and used without the stand. Each light has its own switch.

Completed a project in the shop today. Definitely not as exciting as some of you guys, but I am very happy with how it turned out.

My tool cart is perfect size for the shop and the cabinets work well, however I was looking at installing some upper cabinets. After taking some measurements, I quickly determined this was not the best option for me. They would stick out to far over my workbench and take up valuable space.

Starting looking at pegboard as a good option. I can store some larger tools and miscellaneous things and make room in the tool cart and cabinets.

I cut four 48” 2x4’s and used them to bring the boards closer to the bench, as well as have a more secure and stable surface to mount them to.

Jacked up the workbench and put the moving dollies under each side to make easy work of moving the bench around.

Nice setup Scott. I am also a Victor fan and surprisingly still use my oxy/acetylene torch setup quite a bit at my home shop.

Had to swap out a tire with a screw in it. I have ordered all my tires from discount tire direct for the last 15 years and always buy the warranty certificate. Their customer service has always been outstanding. I bought the original tires in August 2021. I called on Wednesday night and this morning Fedex delivered my new replacement. I swapped out the spare and took both tires to my local shop and 15 minutes later the new one was mounted and balanced.
