Thanks for asking. The bike was made by Jay LaRossa of Long Beach California (Lossa Engineering). It is based on a 1966 CB160. He made one and named it Poco ********. It was bought by the actor Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) SEE BELOW PHOTO. It was well received so he built a limited edition of six of them. Mine is one of them.
I see you are probably a Boilermaker. My boy heads back to Purdue this fall for his Senior year.
Thanks for the info and better picture. I'm very familiar with Jay LaRossa and Lossa Engineering. He has built some amazing bikes and very cool that you got one of the Pocos! Did you see that Jay's cancer is back? Totally *****, but he's focused on fighting it again.
Jay was also on the TV show Wrench Against the Machine.
Yep, I'm a Boilermaker and my wife is too. I graduated with and Industrial Technology/Industrial Distribution degree. I couldn't handle engineering at Purdue, I needed a more hands-on major.
We were just there Friday for my daughter's STAR day. She'll be a freshman in August in engineering, and she's planning to study Environmental Engineering. My son is 11 and he's already planning to go to Purdue too for Aeronautical Engineering. We'll see if he changes his mind in the next 7 years though...
