JC - nah it'll probably go over by the door, or above the Electrical panel.

I have some special things to hang on wall above the arch (and part of the reason why there is no storage) I have all of my grandpa's WWII medals (he was @ pearl harbor when it was attacked) along with some special things of dad's (he was killed 1/20/83 by a Drunk driver) and some things from local friends that have been lost to various things (swine flu the most recent)

That'll look neat. Good on ya for saving that stuff and making it look good!

I hope you have your Grandad's WWII stuff in a nice sealed frame to protect it from the elements - both natural and your shop work. Ditto for yer Dad's. That kinda stuff is priceless!

Any special significance of the colors? I ask cuz you're mixing warm and cold colors and they might be fighting each other. Just off the top of my pointed head, try replacing that orange with a med or slightly dark blue and see what you like.

On the other hand, you can do the same thing by replacing the gray with a like shade of cream.

Either way, three color schemes are bitchin'!!!

Hi both 4starCstms and Hit-By-Thunder,

I have a couple questions about the potlights you have installed in your overhead areas (arch) , storage shelf.

1. Hit-By-Thunder are all the pot lights wired on one electrical run and operate off 1 switch? Same for you 4starCstms?

2. What kind of breaker did you use at your panel to run these lights (15amp)?

Sorry for the newbie electrical questions as anything electrician is new to me but i'm a quick learner and can usually figure it out.. I know Google would probably tell me but I thought I would ask you guys first hand.

Thanks,
Parrish

The one on the left is visually more appealing to me. Looks like a Harley theme?

Ol Breeze oughta know about Marthy Stew-rat colors.

She's his Sugar Mommy and that's the only kind of paint he uses!

And as far as all that other stuff he mentioned - whatever that stuff is - he's got it in his garage.

Not a harley theme. Just like the Orange / black Combo. Im partial to orange and black color Combo.

Its Kinda a tribute to my last truck,
IMG_4881.jpg

and I'll be adding the same orange to my current Super Duty, kinda like the HD edition but different. They did a Orange/Black or a Silver/black but not a orange Silver Combo ... So I'm gonna do one, with some Black Pinstriping to divide the two

not to steal from the thread each set has 5 or 6 lights for each 15 amp breaker. I have 3 seperate circuits adding the lights to 16 recessed lights each circuit is controlled by a switch.

sorry Scott for my question in your build thread.

As for the paint scheme, the one on the left is really really nice. 10 outta 10:thumbup::thumbup:

I love stopping by your thread to watch the updates, thanks for inspiring me too

Like to see this. I'm in Georgetown, KY. Looks like things are coming along really well for you.

I prefer the paint scheme on the left as well. I think it has to do with the fact that you're using the red as an accent, rather than the black.

I'll look the other way on that truck being a Ford, other than that it's fairly handsome.

I may have just missed it, how many amp electrical service do you have?

100 Amp Service - the outlets are into four blocks, so I'm never more than a couple steps away from a different circuit.

Thanks for the Comments. Be glad to see warm weather, to finish the drywall

why yes I was a few years back, Had my 2000 F350 dually, then my 2001 (still have) F150 7700 "Harley" gold with the black flames and now another 2003 7700 F150. See, the Fords runs deep into my blood.

I also read you have your Grandpa's and special things from your late Dad. Really amazing and good on ya for having a special place for them. I too have just acquired my late father's service metals and all his Canadian Forces plaques/pictures/and posters. Have a memorial Airborne Tatoo on my right forearm, this way dad is still with me everyday, and think of him everyday.:rocker:

ok enough of that stuff,......;)

where are your updated pictures, do you need me to come down there. Frig, into the 60's for a temperture man that would be nice

Rob/HBT:thumbup: <--my sign off at FTW

Unfortunately, I agree with you, gotta get the mower deck done. I had to cut my grass for the first time yesterday. It was 80 today. We're both into the season now...

I'm late to the party, but it's looking great so far. I like the left panel as well, but I would love to see the orange/black switched, but keeping the same stripe widths.

It's all about what you think looks best, though. Either way, it will be a suitable tribute to your truck.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks! I'm sorry to say that I am not really any farther along. Thou there is a fair bit of my blood splattered over my S/O toolbox and a bit on the floor.

Money has been pretty tight this year, I got hurt back in May (pictures and story to follow) and had to be off work, so that has put me behind and it's been since then trying to catch up - and I've still got another weeks pay to go before I'm caught up ... Ugh this year has stunk money wise ... I'm a full 10k under what I'd made by this point last year. The good news is I've been making a few pieces of furniture, but thats all gone to help play catch up...

My hand got caught in my drill press. I was using a Circle Cutter (not something I use very often) and had my hand in the wrong place when I flipped on the power. ended up with 13 stitches, and if it'd been a 1/4 more towards my thumb, I'd have lost the finger at the knuckle.

Sorry no BEFORE stitches Pics, but I did drive myself to the hospital ... and my truck is a manual!

You ain't zoomin' anybody with that bogus drill press story, 4 Play. We know for a fact you were pickin' yer nose while sittin' at a red light and got rear ended.

Glad you're doing OK.
